I am not here to put the Knicks fans down, or insult them. They're innocent in all of this. It's all the front office. The front office made a boneheaded decision in trading their 5 years built-up vault of picks for Mikal Bridges, handicapping them in Giannis offers.

Exactly, the Knicks did ALMOST everything right, but the one mistake they made is MASSSIVE and it truly is tragic that they have Bridges instead of a war chest that would have landed them Giannis (especially since the Knicks are his favorite destination).

Its like in tennis when you play a perfectly constructed rally, move your opponent off the court, have a wide open court to hit the winning volley into, but dump it into the net...

Couldn't have predicted if Giannis would ever become available, and at the time of the Mikal trade there was no such indication. The MIkal trade did take the Knicks two games shy of reaching the NBA Finals, a fantastic result on its own. This success has made the Knicks much more coveted destination for free agents, as we have seen lately. When you look at the Knicks roster right now, it is one of the most stacked, if not the most stacked, in the whole league. They are in great position to win the championship right now, Giannis or no Giannis.
