Hmm.. thats a tough one. I'm not sure. Lets say Lebron was an 88% free throw shooter and a better 3 point shooter even though he has shown he can get hot from 3.

Would that be better than a Shaq with 80%? Maybe, Shaq would completely dominate the paint but would he be as complete as Lebron? With the capabilities of facilitating his teammates, with the capabiliities of gaurding the BEST 1's and 5's?

Prime shaq is better then, there's absolutely no way to stop him on offense if you cant hack him

I agree, I dont think its solely on IQ but more of their nature as basketball players

Carmelo and Durant are finishers, who should focus on scoring, rebounding, defending and making the pass when they should

LeBron is a creator by nature, he'd rather fill the stat sheet than be the recipient of a teammate's pass, if he had it his way he'd average 15/15/15 but he cant

I think chances are he will win his 4th MVP unless Durant and Cp3 start to step it up. They might give Durant or CP3 the benefit of the doubt because they don't want to keep giving Lebron MVPs. However, I think the MVP race will be just like last year except there won't be any excuses about Lebron being a choker this time or Lebron having no rings or whatever dumb narrative there was.

'

They will definitely get the benefit of the doubt this year.

True but that's alot more un realistic though. It's not really a reach to think lebron could/should shoot 80% at the line. Just to make him that little bit better. He's been around 78% for a while so it's certainly achievable for him.

Sure it's being picky but you really have to be to try think of realistic ways he could become even better.

Honestly, I have doubts about this idea about Lebron. In every setting he's been in, he's been a scorer. The guy takes a lot of shots, he takes late clock shots, scores a ton of points in many instances. People always want to imply that he's somehow not a scorer and is pass first because he can pass and likes to pass, but I think it is a slightly misdirected idea.

He's a really good scorer that likes to pass, but I have no doubt he likes to score. The guy is a scorer as much as anyone. Even in All-Star games, you see Lebron scoring, even when he has a ton of talent around him, he's scoring. He isn't Jason Kidd or who could take 5 shots in a game and be happy, he wants to do it all.

The difference between him and those guys is that he can do it all, while they can't.

If lebron keeps his 10 rbs and 6 ast going, Durant and melo have no chance

Please enlighten me,i found two different PER values. From espn lebron's PER 27.12 from basketball reference 31.8

Which one is true. Before this season i used to check basketball reference too. They were same now they are not.

Stat sheet stuffers don't win rings as the alpha male on the team. They get bounced in the first round.

It's disrespectful to call Lebron just that.

What separates Lebron from Durant and Melo is that Lebron is a team player. It's not that Durant and Melo are scorers/rebounders first, while Lebron is a stat sheet stuffer. Lebron can do anything Melo and Durant can do, only some things he can perform significantly better than either of them. That's the difference. He's not an inferior scorer, nor an inferior rebounder, he's a better facilitator, defender and floor general.

They will never be as talented facilitating their team as Lebron. His court vision is incredible.

Lebron can't facilitate like Magic so he's not a team player.

BR's is correct.

Hollinger says there's an error with their stat database right now that they're trying to fix.

Some pretty awesome games last night (though I only got the chance to see Miami-Houston), and awesome performance by Lebron.

Putting the team on his back, scoring 32 points in the second half (he scored an off-balanced 3pt when his team was trailing by 6 I think which was huge and amazing), and basicly saved the team`s face last night. Big offensive rebound by Bosh also, although he got a BS call which gave him 2 free throws in an earlier play.

Its a shame that airball Jeremy Lin threw, I guess it will feed the haters more.

LeBron James is quite on pace to win LeBron James of the year award right now.

Jesus. Can we all just agree that PER is extremely volatile this early in this season. Jimmer is #1 ffs. It doesn't mean anything yet.

Lebron's rebounding right now is crazy. He looks like a faster, better shooting, better passing Karl Malone right now.

Lebron is certainly on track to win it again. Do not see anyone who can remain as consistent as him.

On another note I think Rondo will finish highest point guard in voting and maybe top 5.

So far he is averaging:
15.4 ~ 5.1 ~ 12.9 with over 2 steals per game.
+ assist streak is going strong.
+ Boston should be top 3 in East (depends on Rose & NYK)

If he can level can get his scoring up, even a couple of FTs or another bucket a game, and maintain his assists he should be up there.
Has the potential to go 17/6/13. Whether he will get close to this or not is yet to be seen.
