Re: BREAKING: LeBron announces return to Cleveland
Seems like a good time to revisit this article Woj wrote 2 years, 5 months ago:

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/exclusive- ... --nba.html
LeBron James came to Cleveland with an unmistakable mission this week, the beginning of a campaign to soften the fans and ownership on his desire to return to the Cavaliers in 2014. Free agency is forever on his mind, and James is determined to make his hometown want him as much as he wants it again.
This was no accident, no misspeaking, nothing out of context. Before mentioning Thursday his openness to playing in Cleveland again, James months ago had an emissary or two carry that message to the Cavaliers’ front office, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. His camp wanted the message delivered to owner Dan Gilbert, sources said, but so far, the response has been silence.
The Heat play the Cavaliers on Friday night in Cleveland, and yes, LeBron has manufactured the drama of his return again. James can’t opt out of his contract until after the 2013-2014 season, but he understands that the Cavaliers would have to make a decision to hold back on their rebuild, preserve cap space, and wait on him all over again. He has to convince Gilbert to make the leap of faith, and that includes first working over the fans.
Of his return, James said: “I think it would be great. It would be fun to play in front of these fans again. I had a lot fun times in my seven years here. … I’m here as a Miami Heat player, and I’m happy where I am now, but I don’t rule that out in no sense.
“And if I decide to come back, hopefully the fans will accept me.”

He will have the MVP locked, since that Cavs team will improve dramatically.

Re: BREAKING: LeBron announces return to Cleveland
Hypocrisy of Heat fans that bashed Cavs fans and the owner for their reactions to Lebron leaving, now calling Lebron a loser, ring chaser, etc.. Oh and we need to dig up the posts of Cavs fans bashing Lebron when he made the decision to go to Miami. As a Jazz fan, and Lebron fan (favorite player), I'm happy he signed in Cleveland, because Wade and Bosh were not good 2nd 3rd options anymore, not to mention the only supporting cast he basically had, well the occasional showing of Ray Allen too. Much better team in Cleveland.

Lebron is gone!
Great News for parity!

Not trying to start a war here, but do you think MIA fans also affected LeBron's decision? LeBron loves to be loved by the fans. He wants to be hailed as the king. I feel like MIA fans never gave him that, and also it was very evident during the finals how committed and passionate the fans were as they left the game with plenty of time left. Maybe LeBron also misses having a passionate crowd behind him?

Re: BREAKING: LeBron announces return to Cleveland
Anyone put money on the Cavs to win it all when the odds were like 100:1?

That was perfectly written, i also like how he realistically acknowledges that the Cavs shouldn't be considered contenders next year.

Even CNN.com is exploding over the Lebron decision
I could have chosen the socially conditioned path: go to college, get a job, get married, work for 40 years of hate, misery and pain just so you could retire when you're 60 and then die. I say **** that.

You serious? I knew life long Heat fans that had to choose keeping LeBron over keeping Wade. It came to that point where he was absolutely adored him in Miami. I don't know what you're talking about. Not every Heat fan can attend the games, I hope you realize that. The ones that walked out on the team don't represent the whole fan base.

Re: BREAKING: LeBron announces return to Cleveland
If Love goes to Cleveland now, how upset would GS fans be that they didn't include Klay? Also, this is a big opportunity for Melo to make it to the finals.. he just needs a solid team around him for the next couple of years.. he should go to Chicago.
