This cant be serious. You think shams or woj wouldn't have already leaked this info if it were true? Lol

Telling you as a raptors fan who went through torture during the kawhi saga. Dont buy into all the rumour BS until someone with actual credibility reports it.

With that logic if Giannis didnt sign or wouldn't sign Woj and Shams would've leaked stories like they did in the past multiple times and yet nobody in the media says anything about it?

Wonder why ?

Maybe because no one but Giannis' inner circle knows what he's thinking?

As an outsider, it does seem like he wants to stay if he was pushing for Bogdonovic to sign. Also, I just can't see the Bucks trading all those future picks if it didn't mean Giannis would re-sign.

Nothing's been announced man. best wait for it to actually be official than speculate and get your fellow fans' hopes up or throw shade against other fan bases. all it seems like bucks fans are doing is taking any scrap of information and talking themselves into believing it'll happen. similar situation with kawhi and the fans of the three teams who were chasing him last off-season.

A Raptors fan with this post? Oh the irony.

Did you even read his post? Do you understand what irony is?

No, I quoted and commented on his post without reading it :D Raptor fan telling the Bucks fan not to speculate, nothing has been announced, don't get your fellow fans hopes up, taking any scrap of information and talking themselves into believing it'll happen. Raptor fans have been doing exactly that in regards to Giannis signing there for the past 2 years. It's hilarious a Raptor fan would say that to a Bucks fan.

Not all raptors fans act the same. It's also different when one team may be losing a generational talent in free agency and turning into a dumpster fire for the next half decade and the other team is set up nicely with proven talent and flexibility. Certain Bucks fans in this thread are saying it's a done deal, just wait a few hours, the organization is waiting to announce it etc. Nothing's come of anything yet despite all these confident predictions. Raptors fans went through it with Kawhi last year like thinking he was signing and his family was coming to Toronto in a private MLSE jet to announce the signing. If there's any take away from last year, view all the smoke and rumours with skepticism.

Where is this conclusion you speak of? It's been days, not hours. As a Raptors fan, I will not cry if he choses to remain with the Bucks, but it's venomous overconfident comments like yours that make it all that much funnier if and when the opposite happens.

Because 'Giannis still hasn't signed' stories get old after the first few.

What are you expecting, daily 'he still hasn't signed yet' updates? A 'Has Giannis Signed Yet' twitter feed, updated hourly?

its all based on the rumors weve been hearing from our greek posters and insiders on the board that its common knowledge within the organization and in greece where hes been that its a done deal. this tweet he posted today that was also shared to the bucks twitter was ice cubes boy congratulating him and wishing he had come to the lakers. this is as he was driving to bucks hq on his birthday for the signing and announcement is the prediction. hes there right now meeting with bucks brass apparnetly.

so more of a looks really good stay tuned thru the day moment than an official announcement. as bucks fans we feel its all over from our side tho

Hey bud, who's this ice cubes boy congratulating Giannis? What happen after he arrived in Bucks HQ on his birthday and how the meeting goes? Seems like you know more than everyone and we the normal fans of the GreekFreak wanted to know if he already signed that supermax and Bucks is just waiting for the right moment.

When Giannis signs the extension here soon, we'll all know what the delay was. It could be as simple as what Giannis said himself in a Greek interview just prior to coming back to the U.S. He apparently wants to focus on camp and meshing with his new teammates and then sign the deal at the end of camp. Given Giannis' personality that makes more sense than the delay being due to some grand unveil or marketing reason. We'll all see soon enough. In the meantime people can draw all kinds of wild conclusions based on false assumptions.

insiders are still confident. normal fans, which includes me... arent as much anymore.

i am fully prepared to pivot if he wants to play the season out without an extension. we need to liquidate this bitch if he wants a lame duck season "to decide". giannis, jrue, middleton, lopez..... whose the highest bidder?

Holiday has a player option next year. If Giannis doesn't sign, Holiday opts out and walks for nothing. Actually, Giannis could also walk after this year with no compensation to the Bucks. Talk about a bare cupboard. Pretty sure Bucks would trade Giannis before that happens.

I don't think they will unless he asked for it or Jrue or Khris got injured. They are all-in regardless if he re-signed or not until 21st. Pelicans is lurking to take their future

we could get a dozen young guys and picks if we liquidate the roster. playing out the season without a gaurantee from jrue and giannis would be moronically reckless.

Their Contender Status will be thrown out of the window if Giannis get traded. When was the last time Bucks was a contender before Giannis? That's rare in a small market teams and they won't waste that chance for some picks, they even throw their future for Jrue to solidify their contention. That's why Thunder didn't blink and never even think of trading Durant in his last year.
