He's also going to be in a very limited role compared to Detroit, there is absolutely no pressure. He's also going to get a lot of open looks and much better matchups so hopefully (for their sake) he can be productive.
The only reason I don't love it is because the Nets already have more than enough offensive firepower, Blake doesn't really help them on the defensive side of the ball. I would have thought they'd target a C in the buyout market, if one became available.
Bingo, guy is a really good playmaker and is far from being done. He'll have a limited role so in theory should help him with his injury issues.Tor_Raps wrote:limbo wrote:Blake is useless... I know Brooklyn has an ultra thin frontcourt right now, but i would rather give a contract to Dewayne Dedmon... Seriously, Blake is donezo. Dude can only set screens at this point.
Correction, he's done as one of the main options for a team but he's far from done as a nba player. Please remember your statement when he looks great as a supporting player. He's always been an underrated passer so he'll fit in great.

I thought Kyrie doesn’t impact wins, Harden is a loser and Griffin is washed?
Super team where?

Cousins post-Achilles injury was still decent. His ACL tear in summer 2019 ended his career. IMO Cousins now is still more useful than Griffin. Nets should get Cousins too. Create the most stacked team in history of basketball even if Cousins and Griffin are both done.

The Nets could start you at center and be golden.

The Nets had 6 All Stars in 2013 too(Pierce, Garnett, Williams, Johnson, Lopez, Kirilenko)

Yep, those 2 moves are like peas in a pod.
Yeah because people act like talent doesn't override fit. It does.
Blake was openly tanking his way out of Detroit. I could care less how he played this year.
Talent can override fit.
Age, injury and lack of defense? Not so much. Speaking about Blake specifically, not the rest of your roster.
If you think Blake's poor play is the result of him deliberately dogging it out there, again, I'll respectfully say you haven't seen much of the situation in Detroit, as I can assure you I have.
This isn't taking on a star who might not fit in. It's taking on a guy who isn't a star anymore. Worth the risk at a minimum contract? Sure. But to say this is a game changer is misinformed to put it kindly.
