LeBron missed at least three layups tonight that we'd never see him miss before and it wasn't like he was getting bodied by great defenders. I was really surprised to see that - I don't know if he's hurt, if he was tired, frustrated or it's just age catching up with him. But seeing three point blank layups rim off was pretty surprising.

He also got stripped twice while just setting up the offense. And two or three of his other TO's were picked-off passes when the Lakers had numbers on a break. Not to mention his always getting back-cut on defense, etc., He looks slow mentally probably even more than physically. But yeah, you could basically put on a blindfold and spin around ten times, and you'd still hit a problem with the Lakers tonight. It felt like a watershed moment to me, the kind of game that necessitates big changes; but maybe I'm wrong and it'll all blow over by tomorrow. Maybe it leads to nothing more than lowered expectations.

This is Lebron not giving a ****. It's happened plenty this season. He had at least 5 unforced turnovers.

Westbrook and LeBron were both expected to be out with the knee issue today. LeBron felt good enough to play but he's a bit hobbled and wasn't exactly moving a lot.

If you follow fantasy hoops or gamble on games, you'll find that the Lakers always have AD/Lebron as probable/questionable even they're going to play. No other teams talk about small injuries like the Lakers. It's super frustrating as someone who gambles on these games.

The Lakers lost this game on the FT line. LeBron only had 1. Davis went 1-4.

Tank for what? They don't have picks.

Blazers have their own this year, plus the Pelicans 5-14 if they (Pelicans) don't make the play in.

Nah. Bubble title is too tainted. Way too many unusual circumstances to act like it's equal.

Yeah but this one was legit. He had a lot of fluid in his knee and was out because of it recently. They were going to keep him out of back to backs but i think they wanted the win tonight

It’s been bad for a while . Things have to change. Gotta rebuild start up again , taking on Lebron and ad was always short title window . We got one . Time hit the restart button..

Oh, I'm aware that it's been bad for you guys for a while  But yeah, you guys need a reset. I don't think any moves this year would elevate your team to anything more than a 2nd round exit, but who knows, maybe your FO can bring in some impactful players. I imagine there's not much trust in your FO though, given all the terrible moves they've done since your 2020 title...

AD had 11 shots for the entire game and zero in the 4th quarter. Maybe they do need to fire Vogel, and big men can't pass to themselves, but if you're a superstar, I expect you to demand the ball at some point.

I see they sat Westbrook though, so help may be on the way.

The only help im looking for is to blow this roster up

unless by some miracle we make trades that make us better and i dont see how that will happen.

Yeah, there's no deal out there that will make the Lakers the favorite this season but I do believe, once given a few weeks to ramp up NBA speed, John Wall could provide a notable improvement for them.

At a minimum it decreases the likelihood of a team doing to the Lakers what they themselves did to Westbrook in the playoffs just two seasons ago which I assume had to be a fear for every Lakers fan when they traded for Russ in the first place.

Do I even rub it in at this point? Ok fine, should have played Westbrook. :P

DSJ might have just had a unique game in NBA history, 7 assists and 5 steals in the 4th quarter off the bench, I'm not sure that's ever been done before

Why make this comment without acknowledging that LeBron has missed 17 games...and AD has missed 21 games.

"with Lebron and AD" makes it sound like the Lakers have actually had them...

They were there tonight and lost to Keljin Blevins.

That's why you play the games. But the pause in the middle of the season most definitely helped the lakers. The most games Anthony Davis ever played in a season (regular season + playoffs) was 84 with the pelacans. I highly doubt he plays healthy going to the playoffs.

If you are a betting man, you probably bet that Anthony Davis misses at least 10+ games at some point at which affects the lakers season. The gap in the middle most definitely helped his body.

Jazz have a better shot of beating the Warriors WITHOUT Rudy than they do with him. They look hopeless with him since last season against them and now destroyed them without him

He cant take advantage of their switching defense and becomes a liability on offense. Defensively theyre too spread out for him
