Domejandro wrote:Lots of bad takes in this thread, this is a game where Minnesota fans knew going in that Towns wouldn’t be able to score easily. The issue is that when a team goes all-in on one player, it makes the rest of the defense vulnerable.

The disappointing player tonight has been Russell.

Maybe I have PTSD because of how the Cavs used Love when he first got here, but if the other team is going double KAT on the block to deny him the entry pass, then you have to have set plays to run off of that. If they're helping off of Vanderbilt, have him set a screen for a cutter. The offense just looks disjointed.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Goat shooting big Aka Dirk didnt have that playoff problem

Hey, it can happen to the best:

This was years after Dirk was already a playoff monster. Kat was dog **** against Houston and is continuing being that.

The blueprint for that type of player wasn't there when he was a playoff monster, opposing teams were still guarding him with their own big man many times.

The series vs Miami in 05-06 was what set the blueprint, smaller player (Miami used Haslem), get into Dirk, be real physical, send second defender after he puts the ball on the floor as needed. Dirk shot 39/25 vs Miami in the finals, and then 38/21 vs Golden State. Dirk then worked on countering that type of defense in later seasons.

Dirk also only shot 42/28 his first time in the playoffs, then also in 04-05, he shot 35/28 vs Houston.

The veteran group of refs are awful right now. They're trying to take charge of the game by calling all these fouls

dman thats nuts 48 wins and miss the playoffs.

It's a special kind of pain. Like getting tear gassed.

Can confirm, Warriors won 48 in 07-08. That season if the Warriors had been in the East they would have been the 4th seed.

Not sure how what Nowell did there was a shooting foul. Just soft calls both ways.

This is completely wrong. Spurs had already used Sjax and Bowen alot on him prior. Rockets used Tmac alot on him too.
