Even though the pistons fell out of the top 4 they are in sweet spot as they have a good chance to land Jaden Ivey to run their backcourt w/ Cade. The kings are not likely selecting a pg w/ Fox and Mitchell. And the top 3 teams are 90% most likely going to select one of Chet Jabari Paolo.

Ultimately there will be busts among the top picks. In all likelihood there will be a guy picked in the teens or twenties that will end up being an allstar.

Look at where booker got drafted, look at Paul got drafted and who were drafted ahead of them.

Crying about going up and down doesn’t amount to much when you put some context historically.

Taking Chet will be viewed at similar to taking:
Bogut over CP3
Bowie over MJ
Oden over KD

Just give me Jabari Smith and call it a night if I am Orlando

Something tells me the NBA is rewarding them with the #1 pick as well lol, Dame is a hell of a representative

Yeah, NBA doesn't look kindly on unabashedly tanking.... so swing and a miss there.

At least the Kings get their 37th shot to blow a Top 4 pick.

Yeah, I've always been out on Chet. I have yet to see any good NBA prospect coming out of Gonzaga. That program lost me after the Adam Morrison hype. I think Jabari is going to be the best player from this draft.

I’m fine with Orlando winning the lottery this year. I hope Jabari turns out to be like Rashard Lewis for you guys, similar gameplay. I’ve done plenty of studying on this draft and I believe Jabari will have an unstoppable jumpshot. He won’t make plays like Wagner does but he’ll fit nicely next to Wagner. I really don’t know what you’ll do with Bamba and Isaac. Bamba might just walk out. As for Pistons, I’m happy if we can draft the best guard in the draft and that’ll either be Sharpe or Ivey.

I came here to post this basically.

I wish the nba could invoke a rule that hurts your odds the more consecutive times you’re in the lotto and don’t win games. Orlando & Sacramento just don’t currently have good orgs for developing young talent. It’s so wasteful, other teams would make more out of having so many chances.

It's really weird to invoke Orlando to make a case for Detroit being more deserving of a top pick. They've essentially performed the same as Detroit over the last decade.

I'm all for a rule that 1) lowers your chances of a top 3 picks if you had one last year and/or 2) lowers your chances of a top 5 pick if you've had multiple in the last x number of years but really, it's OKC that the rule should target.

Whelp, this is the height of ignorance.

Exactly what top 5 pick has OKC had in... say... the last decade?

Where did I say last decade? I was alluding to KD/Westbrook/Harden in consecutive years. Should I have said OKC/Seattle instead?

Figures the magic get #1 overall so they can add another young, but raw up and coming tweener.

Better than the kings who we all know will likely do Jack with yet another top pick. If I was an nba team, I’d want to pick after them every single time lol

I’ve given up trying to predict the careers of teenagers. I’m just looking forward to either the Poku Chet front court pairing or head to head match up of the two most gangly **** in the NBA.

Guys, just curious.. but its the draft lotto. Why do they have the potential top picks in the draft as the audience for a 30mins viewing? Like do those draftees have an event to do after the drawing?

Gotta go with athleticism with this pick.

Sure there’s some uniqueness to Chet, but I think he’s just too damn skinny at the NBA level to risk the #1 pick on him.

Jabari or Banchero are sure fire two way stars in my opinion, both of whom can play a power game.

Thank god Kings didn’t get top 3. I feel sorry for whoever gets drafted by them at 4.
OKC has 2nd, 12th, and 30th. Not sure that young team needs to add 3 more rookies but we'll see.

Doesn’t hurt either. If Chet falls at 2, that team is gonna look REAL nice.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Josh Giddey
Luguentz Dort
Aleksej Pokusevski
Chet Holmgren

Although Chet will definitely have to build his body up to play Center.

Next season? Yeah probably. 2/3 years from now with more top 5 picks coming in after? They are gonna be stacked unless those picks bust.
