To the posters claiming the younger generation aren’t getting divorced as much, just wait till it becomes a TikTok challenge, then you’ll really see the numbers increase

Mister Ze wrote:So he gets the same suspension as the Suns owner? Seems ludicrous.

There is certainly something that’s being withheld from this story.

Fine him, suspend him for the start of the season, but why punish the Celtics players and fans for this !?

Well if the rumors about him on social media at the moment are true and he gets to keep his job Ime is actually getting off incredibly easy in this case.

In pretty much any other business or line of work if a high level executive did something like this they would be fired. This is yet another case of the business of sports choosing not to hold employees to the same moral standard that exists throughout the rest of the professional world.

I need more to this story other than speculation. Hopefully something more concrete comes out.

Uh, they do. Hence why more than 50% of them end in divorce — and I’m sure another large percent stays together because they’re basically forced to (kids, cost of divorce, tied finances).

Most people shouldn’t get married.

I only know a handful of people who are still married who I’ve known longer than 5 years.

You really should stop. The divorce rate has never been over 50%, peaked in 1982 (at something under 50%), and has generally been declining for the last 40 years. I can’t speak to how the pandemic years have gone (I haven’t examined the data), but generally speaking the entire foundation of your premise for marriage having an expiration date is wrong.

This response is so naive & ignorant, that’s its not even worth responding to.

How can any person currently living think that divorce rates are LOWER now in the age of social media, dating apps & no-fault divorce?

Absolutely silly.

Largely because marriage rates have dropped massively. You don't get divorced if you're never married.

Damn shame. If he won the title, they'd let him phuck whoever he wants. That game 4 still hurts

I get that with the original report's vagueness will lead to people filling in the gaps, but I have my doubts about this part because I don't see how he doesn't get fired for it if that was true.

So if Boston just suspended Ime for the year but didn't disclose anything, how long could that have conceivably held up?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Oof. This better not be true because this would not be a good look for him at all professionally. I wonder did this leak and hence the possible 1 year suspension because he(or she) broke off the relationship and it became worst than awkward to still work in the same organization and then eventually either the Celtics found out or one of those involved told or had to come clean.

You're absolutely right. The Mcdonald's CEO was fired after an affair after posting record profits.

It's hilarious how some people are trying to say it's not a big deal. This is a bad look for Udoka and the Celtics.

I mean he did take the team to the Finals in his 1st year and took it to 6 games lol. Teams still want to win so I'm sure someone in the Celtics organization vouched for him professionally cause of his on-court success not completely get rid of him. Plus even though it's worst than tawdry what he's alleged to have done by all accounts (so far) it wasn't forced and he didn't commit a crime which is what I bet the Celtics considered. Also depends who the VP was because at the end of the day it's still the owner's call.
