Sheesh, how do you at least not get a shot up. Sad Kansas State, sad.

He's got fun no look passes...but he is really overrated. He legit doesn't pass the ball at all unless he can get an assist, basically refuses to move the ball which stagnates the KSU offense. He just gives up penetration every time and tries to poke the ball out from behind on D. And then he has terrible shot selection and is an inefficient scorer.
The right team won.

Another fantastic game. My 7 year old had FAU in his final 4. He picks based on mascots and he really liked the Owl. He got them winning it all lol

Nowell's ball dominant style was a liability near the end

Nowell is just not a great player. He has an awful shot that misses by several feet half the time yet he keeps taking terrible shots. His passing isn't great either. People who think this guy could be an NBA player are smoking crack.

Weak call on Timme, could decide the game with 17 minutes left

Zags are done with Timme on the bench, 4 fouls, 17min left and down 12

UConn gets 8 straight points. Good job refs. Predictable as always.

This is what Purdue did to Gonzaga earlier in the season, this outcome isn't surprising.

Re: March Madness Thread (recaps in post 1)
UConn looks like the obvious best team. UCLA was TOUGH and a tough Gonzaga team beat them, but then UConn just crushed Gonzaga by almost 30. Then Arkansas, who has been a great tourney team under the Musselman era, making the Elite 8 the last two years, just knocked off #1 Kansas in the sweet 16, and UConn CRUSHED the Razorbacks to prevent them from making a third consecutive Elite 8. I think UConn will likely crush any team left, but unfortunately the only teams with a chance are Miami or Texas and those teams are on the same side of the bracket so they will meet one in the final 4. And then FAU gets the SDSU/Creighton winner.
Also, of course another thing I must note. If AZ hadn't crapped the bed against Princeton going scoreless in like the last 5 minutes after leading all game, they likely walk to the final 4. They beat Creighton AND SDSU this year, the two teams from their bracket playing to get to the final 4.

Re: March Madness Thread (recaps in post 1)
Godangit, I can't believe MI State lost in 2OT the way they did. It was just a bunch of little mistakes that all added up at the end. Goodbye $50, you'll be missed. And those were the silly odd boost ones too! Bummer!
Alabama losing to SDSU like that? UConn completely dominating Gonzaga? Say goodbye to another $50.
At least I figured KS would be tired and their star guard would wake up the next day feeling a lot worse than the night before. That was a nice $50
This really has been a crazy tournament this year. How did Houston manage to lose? I didn't catch it at all.
This should be UConn's to lose at this point. But, then again I've said that about Alabama and Houston at various points as well! Regardless, this feels like one of the more entertaining March Madness's I've watched in a while and taking those couple days off was totally worth it lol
To be fair I think Princeton(15) was mis-seeded and should have been a schooch higher in my opinion. Michigan State had the same situation in front of them: just make 1 less mistake out of a dozen and they would have had a "cakewalk," the rest of the way.
I don't know how Princeton got into the tournament: I've just never paid enough attention to know the exceptions to the rules with certain Conference Champs being guaranteed a spot, or winning in a First Four game, etc. [Higher ranking = hire seed]The BIG10 got a big seeding boost this year in general based on preseason hype that carried through the season, but ultimately, those teams just weren't as good as the bracket makers seemed to believe and it pushed a few better teams down I think.
It sucks being thiiiiiiiiis close to winning.
That was a weak ass foul call and your right, it took away any chance of Gonzaga getting back in it. Even if Timme isn't shooting 6 3's a game, he would have generated better shots for those guys and get the 2 pt buckets himself when they needed them.
Man, I was not happy with that call.
