Out side of Lebron/Jordan as your goats ... Who else Is up there? Let's get the ball rolling again, but outside of Lebron/Jordan :) ... Wilt, Bird, Shaq, Kareem, Hakeem, Oscar, Duncan, Kobe just to name a few... Doesn't have to be any of them, but let's go out side the norm of Lebron/Jordan, esp the last few posts above.

I agree we should stop talking so much about Jordan vs LeBron, because honestly Jordan isn't even top 3. I'd Jordan played today absolutely nobody would think he was the GOAT. LeBron is first by a mile. 2nd and 3rd are Kareem and Duncan. After that we can start discussing where Jordan belongs.

Jordan has 3x as many votes as Lebron.

How shocking.

yawn
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

I want to extend my condolences to you after hearing the news about LeBron being named the USA male flagbearer. I know you must be struggling to cope with this, given your clinical obsession with the man. Just keep watching your Skap Attack videos on repeat and you'll forget all about it.

Just make a poll about the second best player of all time.
I bet it will be more competitive than for the GOAT.

How many times do we have to do this?

Isn't this really for people who hate Michael Jordan and will try anything to dismantle him?

Michael Jordan played in 24 playoff series in which his team was either the better or same seed. He went 24-0. Going strictly by seeding, he was not upset even a single time in the playoffs. This is far more impressive than the 6-0 Finals record.

There's still good discussion there, but it is ironic that some posters on there do the very same things they criticize 'MJ stans' for doing.

It's an unbearable place nowadays if the topic shifts to MJ or MJ vs LeBron at all.

Lebron is the most talented player of all time but not the best.

I believe that these are also two distinctly different questions.

I also think that Kareem is probably still the second greatest player of all time.

That skyhook **** really was crazy.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

The real question Is...

Where do you guys place both Shaq and Wilt? ... Are they both In top 10 of yours? Are they close to each other In your list?

I place Shaq Top 10, Wilt's 11 on my list :)

Michael Jordan did NOT have a 48 inch Vertical

Post#315 » by LakerLegend » Fri Jul 26, 2024 12:07 am

That 48 number literally came from clickbait articles online purporting to list player verticals and people took it and ran with it.

MJ, Russell, Bird, Duncan, Magic
Kobe, Shaq, , Kareem, Curry, Lebron

My top 10 list In order yes In order ... That's what the poll should be :)

Reason I have Bird as 3 Is because I would take Bird's Celtics over any one of Bron's Teams. But that's IMO :) - After all It's a team sport as Bron would put It lol.

That's huge. Never knew that.

I wonder if LeBron's career was first and MJ's career came after LBJ with their exact same stats, accolades, championships, career narrative etc making LeBron the consensus GOAT pre MJ, I think MJs path would still have him topple LBJs goat status.

MJ is a more dynamic, compelling and exciting player/personality than LeBald so it doesn’t matter in which decade they came in or in which order they joined the league or on which planet they’re playing in, that will never change.

Same thing when Kobe fans tried saying that Kobe would be viewed as greater than MJ had he come first. MJ was an original while Kobe was a cheaper knock off mimicking even Jordan’s gum chewing for God’s sake :banghead:
