I'm not seeing anything that makes me change my mind on OKC being the team to beat out west

Having Gobert pretty much is as close to guaranteeing they are a playoff team as they can get. You have to remember Minnesota's history as a franchise first. They've had too many years of losing to not want to at least be competitive year-in, year-out.

I'd say for at least 5 years. He fell off significantly in his last year in OKC, was unplayable in the playoffs with the Rockets and has been getting worse ever since, 1 shameless stat padding regular season in Washington notwithstanding.

Ehhh, the Rockets playoffs he was coming off a hamstring injury which we have seen guys look bad off of too. The Wizards year was good. His prime ended on the Lakers, not helped by being extremely duplicative to Lebron (but worse obviously).

So what's the excuse for Westbrook's horrible play in the playoffs his last year in OKC and the one year he played in Washington?

Even in his prime Westbrook was very hit and miss in the playoffs.

Non televised game against a horrible defense on a random Thursday? This is what Randle lives for.

Randle always gets so much hate and unfair criticism imo.

I enjoy it when he plays well, he has been a two time All Star and All NBA player, yet still regarded as a bum/scrub.

Just think it's weird

Probably because he's one of the laziest defenders in the league who pouts and sometimes even gives up even when his team is winning simply because his shot isn't falling. He actually picks fights with his teammates at times when they're trying to calm him down as well.

Also because aside from being arguably the worst playoff performer ever this is the kinda stuff he does for 30 or so games a season.

How long before Nuggets give up in the Westbrook?
I still cant understand why they did that, not to mention they gave him 2 year no team option contract...
Its like they didnt watch him on the Lakers and Clippers... He is not only washed, he doesnt have any self awareness...

Unpopular opinion but I think it's too quick to write Westbrook off based on Denver's current bench. I think people forget before Harden was traded to the Clippers, Westbrook was playing well in his role there.

I think there is some benefit to the intensity Westbrook brings in the second unit that will cause teams to have to deal with a different look than the standard nuggets offense.

Westbrook needs like 10 good players around him to make him a net neutral. Not an ideal fit with a thinner Denver team
