I know things have been wild with Ja Morant the last couple years but it’s as if they’ve had the same roster since he was drafted there to begin with. It’s like they’re content having him and Jaren Jackson Jr. just be competitive to an extent (if healthy) and that’s it.

I like a lot of their roster so I’m not trying to say they suck or anything, it just seems as if they don’t have any real aspirations to do anything beyond a potential playoff spot when healthy.

Small market syndrome. They have a very similar problem like Utah has in that no big name player or star wants to play/live there.

They tried desperately to trade for Jimmy Butler last season but the entitled cry baby refused to play there, this is part of the reason why they have JJJ that max extension.

I don’t think big city fans like myself actually truly understand who hard/difficult it is to root for a small market teams with very limited resources and attraction for big players.

I have a very soft spot for the likes of Grizz, Jazz, Blazers and their fans for that reason. I appreciate.their support and loyalty to their teams, which has to be very tough at times.

But the Grizzlies actively took a step backwards in the offseason trading Bane away for picks and parts. I think they're punting on the short-term and playing a long game. Who knows if it pays off.

Another 10 steals for Portland. Four straight games (45 so far on the season).

They sold high on Bane, whom aside from opening night has not really helped The Magic so much so far.

I don’t think they have their 2026 first round pick though which is a bit worrying

This may sound silly but the Billups scandal may be the best thing to happen to Portland in years, i never rated him as coach and they seem to be playing a lot better under the new guy (getting rid of cancer Ayton and bringing in ultimate pro Jrue Holliday also helps)

Memphis has Orlando and Phoenix's first round pick. Their pick goes to Charlotte.

I'll never understand why JJ Reddick doesn't seem to trust/play Knecht more ? The kid can play and is a solid shooter from 3 point range. He is going to ask for a trade soon for more opportunities i think and it will be another good young prospect The Lakers let go of too soon.
