It was a surprising win today. The bench was really cold, Lebron just carried the team

We should also take a look at what happened with the Spurs last season. The Spurs were hot coming into the post-season. They won 10 streak games heading into the playoffs and ended up sweeping their first two opponents in the Jazz and the Clippers. However, during the WCF, their shooting started to slowly fall apart. They weren't just playing a more talented OKC team, they were also missing shots that they would have normally make. I honestly think OKC got lucky in that series because they actually played very bad defense, but got bailed out by the Spurs shooters missing a lot of wide open shots.

Oh please. The Spurs demise last year had nothing to do with peaking too early. The Spurs had the second best record in the league 2-years ago, one game behind the Bulls, and got beat in the first round in six games. The Spurs are the New England Patriots of the NBA now. Great system. Great regular season success. But they're old, rarely healthy and unable to put away upstarts any more, partially because they don't really possess that transcendent player. They rely upon a motley crew of very good role players to execute team ball perfectly, and that works during the regular season, but it doesn't really work in the post-season. It wasn't a question of the Spurs getting out of rhythm, they just ran out of gas. The Heat ain't the Spurs.

I'd say Orlando or Spurs

I think a big difference is Battier and Chalmers comfortable sticking the 3's/ Lebron comfortable posting up late. It wont be the Spurs. Maybe the Hornets. Vazquez, Davis, Anderson, Henry and Gordon can matchup well against the Heat imo. There is no reason why they are playing so poorly.

Didn't think I'd be saying this a few hours ago but Miami's streak continues!

Say they don't lose the remaining of the regular season, will the wins from PS be added on to the streak? Or will it transfer to the start of the next regular season?

I don't think it would be either or. The media would likely do both things. Since both would be a story.

I think they'll lose at the Bobcats though. The teams with the best shot to beat them so far have been the worst teams. So in theory the worst team in the league should have the best shot at beating them, yeah?

I asked this question a few pages back. I think it should stop and go to the next regular season, because it's a regular season streak. That being said if it happens and they continue the streak into the playoffs and lose. The record would become "Longest regular season winning streak" and ESPN would break it into two different types, regular season and win streaks as a whole.

Hmm I think you're right. It'll probably carry on into next season not taking PS games into account. It says on list of NBA Longest win streak page in wikipedia. But then again it's wiki LOL. Bucks for example was able to carry their 16 game win streak in the course of 72-73 and 73-74 season.

It would be pretty epic if Rose returned for that Heat game. I don't think its good to feed him to the lions so quickly though, it might shot down his confidence, and that's something thats very sensitive after his surgery.

As someone who thinks the NBA is manipulated for ratings, I want to say the NBA won't let this streak end before we reach the Bulls game on ESPN. But then again, the Heat should've lost this game against the Cavs and they dealt with a lot of momentum-stifling calls in this game before they went lights out from 3, so I'm not really sure.

As the Cavs game showed, Heat's streak will most likely end against one of the lesser quality opponents. They will finally dig a hole that they cannot climb.

I was a firm believer that Wade/Bron just got bored and decided to tank the first half for a greater challenge 2nd half. LOL

 @ the FT disparity in the second half, Oh Mr almighty David and his zebra henchmen continue to amuse me. The NBA is getting to be a complete joke of a league, wwe stuff were in full effect against the Cavs on the second half, if you can't see that then your completely blind to the entire leagues manipulative tactics to ensure the attention to it's brand remains relevant.
