Mitchell plays much worse with Gobert than without him, especially scoring. They don’t seem complimentary on offense as the Jazz have even less spacing with him.

Can someone really explain how it is close between Mitchell and Simmons. Mitchell is putting up good numbers for a rookie. He is putting stats similar to Monta Ellis's old days. Simmons is putting up good numbers period. He is putting stats similar to Jason Kidd's old days. Again, how is this close?

Could need more time to adjust and also I was specifically addressing his argument that Mitchell's team has less wins.

Bookmakers have him as runaway favorite. 1-4 Simmons 9-2 Mitchell

He was pretty sloppy with the ball at times, there seemed to be some miscommunication among our players that led to several turnovers, and not just from Simmons. I think he just has to shelve the hook pass for now, especially against a team with the length the Bucks have - the ratio of turnovers to successful scores from that pass alone would be pretty poor. Its very rare to see him turn the ball over while dribbling but some of his decision making trying to fit the ball into tight windows has been average. His most successful passes into traffic are when he's been going over the top of the defense, not through it.

Is it wrong when I feel this is a sub par game for Mitchell?

It's both alarming and impressive that Mitchell is playing well without his 3 ball. Hopefully he can get that back soon.

Also, how awesome is it that Simmons and Mitchell had nights that are just considered "meh". They are that good. Expectations have gotten so high.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. For one, a lot of those minutes came early on in the season when Mitchell wasn't the player he is today. He struggled playing with everyone. Secondly, a lot of those minutes came with Rubio and Favors. Mitchell's numbers with Gobert on and Rubio off are inline with his production for the season as a whole.

Well, hopefully that's the case. Not sure why Rubio plays so much, seems to be the root of their issues from discussing with fans.

Actually, favors needs to come off the bench. Rubio isn't ideal but we can deal.

Rubio is still an elite distributor and good defender; Mitchell's been exceptional as the go to guy late in games but he's just not quite ready to be the conductor of his own orchestra just yet. The flashes he's shown there though have been more than promising.

Im here just to continue the DSJ love. 4 20+ point games in his last 5, averaging 17/3/5 to just 2 turnovers a game. This dude has special written all over him.
