Timing is all weird and tone deaf to other great narratives currently playing out. Sounds like he's trying to get out in front of a golden parachute to save face situation.

this is actually perfect.

Michael Scott didn't become a manager for no other reason than he was the GOAT salesmen in his company - so he was promoted to a powerful position because he had a skill not related to management.

This pretty much fits why Magic got the job as a President perfectly.

Magic pretty much stepped down because of all the tampering talks surrounding him..he got sick of it..that's what I'm getting from his press conference.

This is what I was thinking too. Why are people so sure he wants to go back to the lakers? The thought of Lebron and West clashing is funny though. He would not be the one to do BronBron's bidding.
