Things are still close enough that they can and are changing from game to game. For those thinking someone has a huge lead there will always be a confirmation bias when that player plays well - and when others play badly. The same confirmation bias will cause them to ignore great games by the players they think are behind and duds by the player they think is ahead. There's no massive lead here, unless it's the one held by the top three players.

Side note, Tatum jumped from 20th to 15th on his monster game last night.

In the history of the NBA the voters so far almost every time gave the MVP title to the best player on the best team in the league.

If by "almost every time" you mean "about 58% of the time" then you're right.

Hey smart ass, don't hide anywhere when Giannis win it again. It will not be even close to be honest, like last season. And you know also why? Giannis as great as he is on the offensive event he is also arguable the DPOY of the year. That's how great he is both ends of the floor. Good luck find a better one for the MVP. ;)

Not in the United States it never will be not even in the top 5 to me. My daughter use to play as a little girl and that was the only time I watched it. But each country to their own favorite sports it’s cool that you all love it so much. It is a lot bigger today than it’s ever been before here I will say.

Aaah yes. The real centre of the world. I'll send the rest of the world a memo that if the USA doesn't like it, it's officially not popular.

There is no such thing as an incredible 0-0 game (at least to a gigantic number of people in the US). There is a reason practically every sport changes rules year after year to promote offense and scoring. Also, I don't know a single person who enjoys watching a game end in a tie. "You know what would be cool, let's watch a game and hopefully there will be no winner. It will be just like they did not even play!"

Aaah yes. The real centre of the world. I'll send the rest of the world a memo that if the USA (and more importantly the people Mr. Perfect knows) doesn't like it, it's officially not popular.

   some of you Americans really need to get over yourselves with this stuff. I'm not even going to touch the implication that every game is a draw. That's just ignorance on your part.

Uh, no. That user was nice enough to clarify that he was speaking about world football with respect to America and this is your response? It's an American website and you're commenting on a basketball board. Obviously the majority of users here aren't going to share the same appreciation for world football that you do. You're the one that needs to get over it.

But I'm curious...are there soccer forums that you frequent where basketball fans brigade and try to argue for the global relevance of their favorite sport? I'd love to see it

Yeah. Please... I'm European with half Indian background. Basketball is way more interesting as compared to football. And China/India/North America aren't also into Football like Europe/Middle East/Africa.

So yeah. Get of your high horse. Man, people unnecessarily bad mouth Americans but Europeans and Some Chinese are way more arrogant and absolute **** to other people.

I think Luka is out.
Dallas is not going to be even in the top4.
Sad if you consider that they wouldn't even be in the playoffs without him but team record is the most important part(fair or not).

-You are posting on what I assume is an American website about a sport invented in America. You should expect an American outlook. If I posted on German boards about a German sport I would expect people to have a German perspective.

-You are making things up if you dreamt I said Every game ends 0-0. I said ANY game that ends 0-0 is an awful game that ultimately was basically meaningless.

There is an opening for Houston to get that second seed with Clippers coasting, Harden will seize that opportunity to elevate himself to MVP favorite.

KP is returning. They'll get back what they desperately missed in these couple of close games, a proper rim protector. We'll see how it goes but yeah, i don't expect them to climb back into top5.

I don't see why bringing up America's opinion of the Sport is necessary when I was clearly talking on a global scale. It's not news that Football is not very popular in America. The post I originally quoted was mocking the Sport through an obviously Americanized view. I responded by reminding him that the Sport is bigger than America's Sports and that other poster "nicely" reminded me that it's not as big in America, which I really see no need for, except for reminding me where the center of the world actually is. This isn't even about appreciation, as It would be equally needless if someone pointed out that Hawaii isn't that big on the NFL when I say that American Football is the Nation's Sport. It's as silly as someone saying "not by me" when I state the fact that chicken is loved all over the world. It's a comment that serves no purpose except to try to undermine the importance of the one I'm making.
I also tried to be nice by saying "some of you Americans" in order to prevent comments like yours. Guess that didn't work.
But I'm curious...are there soccer forums that you frequent where basketball fans brigade and try to argue for the global relevance of their favorite sport? I'd love to see it

I dunno about this brigade you're referring to, however, you're lying if you're implying that the majority of basketball fans here would not defend basketball if they saw it being mocked by football fans on a football forum they frequent.

So yeah. Get of your high horse.

You're saying that you're a non-American who likes basketball more than he/she loves football. Cool story. That doesn't address anything about the fact that Football is the world's biggest sport by far. I personally love Basketball and will probably like it as much as football in a couple of years. But that doesn't mean I won't try to share some knowledge about the world's factually greatest Sport to people who are ignorant about it. There is no high horse here. Dude was straight up mocking Football: "Also, I don't know a single person who enjoys watching a game end in a tie."You know what would be cool, let's watch a game and hopefully there will be no winner. It will be just like they did not even play!"
I called him out for helping prove the American "murica" stereotype and even tried to avoid offending others by using the word "Some" and I need to get off my high horse? No, you get off yours.

Man, people unnecessarily bad mouth Americans but Europeans and Some Chinese are way more arrogant and absolute **** to other people.

And this comment is necessary why? I did not badmouth Americans in general, as you are doing with Europeans here. Read the context of the exchange.

For anyone who feels the need to further white knight for Americans, lemme nip this in the bud by outlining the context of the exchange as I saw it:
1. Dupp (who makes posts I typically agree with, and whose jokes I always laugh at) takes playful jab at Football (1-0 is boring)
2. I reply with how even 0-0 is exciting sometimes, and a jab of how Football is bigger than USA Sports
3. Two posters quote me with basically the same post (Well it's not as big in America so...........there)
4. I find it funny that some (there's that oh so crucial word again) people feel the need to highlight how something that is insanely popular the world over isn't popular in their own backyard as some kind of rebuttal, like it actually has any bearing on the truth of said fact, and I say so.

If you can't understand why I would respond by calling out "some" "muricans", just ignore me and treat the post as a troll post or whatever. I don't have the time for any back and forth on a matter as simple as this.

Didnt the bucks won like 2 games without Kompo playing? That team is stacked from top to bottom.

Its Giannis and its not even close. He might be even an unanimous MVP, though thats very difficult because of Harden's box score stats.

Khris Middleton and a bunch of recycled vets is way too much help IMO. Giannis is out here creating super teams. He's been carried to 70 wins! Dude is basically Durant.
