Couldn't keep a championship team together. Couldn't keep Kawhi in town. Massive failures, so, yes, overrated.

Raps have the best coach in the league.
Their fingerprints are all over this team's DNA.
Best president/GM + Best coach + they've got their fingerprints all over this team's DNA... surely this means multiple titles are just around the corner?
Would you care to lay a little wager on the Raptors winning a title this year, or to do a double... or why not go all the way and bet on a three-peat?

no
this is a "rebuilding year" from Masai's own mouth.
This is what we do in a rebuilding year in our program that attracts no free agents or power swings to push players North.
Meanwhile, LA who's the #1 destination in the NBA and have had top 100of all time players that have forced trade/signed their way their from Kobe, Shaq, Dwight, Nash AD, Lebron, not to mention every washed up former superstar that manouvers his way to the Lake Show...the list goes on and on.....what do you have to show for it, congratulations - you didn't even make the playin in a competing year with arguably the 2nd best player of all time in one of his best seasons ever to date...at least on the stat sheet. Apparently that's what counts in LA - fools gold.
I'll put our system over yours any day and i'll put any bet on the line the Raptors will win their next championship before the Lakers.
Our best player is overlooked, was lucky to be 1 late 1st rounder and considered a major reach
Our all star was undrafted.
Our high lottery rookie was considered a major reach and considered a long term project and lambasted as a pick over the 4th of the surefire allstars in a top 4 can't miss draft.
We know how to pick them, develop them and make them shine. Our players play for each other, yours play for the stat sheets and bright lights.
You're a destination.
We are a team.

Could be, but Piston's players have more impressive Detroit area mansions than Raptor's players have anywhere in Canada.
You're out of your depth here. Toronto is in the NFL of real estate.
It's not a desirous place to live for Americans.

This is a good example of 'if you don't know what you're talking about then just don't speak' lol.
Canada (mainly Toronto and Vancouver) is a real estate giant for the rich. Now this comes at the expense of the middle and lower class people but that's a different discussion.
Not rich Americans...

There's a reason why pre covid half the NBA would come to Toronto to party in August. EVERY player that's played in Toronto gushes about the city, the multi culturalism, the nightlife, the 5 star restaurants ....
LOL Toronto crushes Detroit as a city in every possible way.
If you're talking the city and everything it offers to a player ... it's also a better option than Cleveland, Brooklyn, Minnesota, Philly, Chicago, Charlotte, Washington, Indiana, and more.
The ONLY strike against Toronto is if someone wants to be in a warm weather city. But Toronto's weather is the same or better than many of those teams I just mentioned
Small lots.
The Bridle Path homes have lots that are 2 to 4+ acres. 20 minutes drive to Scotiabank Arena.
List all Raptors who have owned, rented, or leased there.

Um are you serious?
Like everyone who's been here longer than a season... and even some who weren't.
Danny and Kawhi both had places in Toronto. Danny bought a 3.5 million dollar condo and Kawhi had a giant place

Demar had a house and his mom's house in Lorne Park Mississauga. There's quite a few ridiculous homes in that area too.

Notice the lack of specifics when it comes to Raptor real estate transactions in Canada. You can easily research Canadian basketball players buying property in Southern California like Andrew Wiggins, Steve Nash, Tristan Thompson, Rick Fox

I agree. Nobody is saying Americans would rather live in Toronto than the US. Americans are very ethnocentric, nothing wrong with that per se, it's just a cultural thing. What's your point ultimately though? Doesn't this just make what Masai has accomplished that much more impressive since no American wants to be there? Masai also isn't American, so he doesn't feel any attachment to the US, just like the other 95% of people who aren't American. Building a consistent winner with a non US based team already puts him at the top of his profession. I can't see anyone making a convincing argument that he isn't top 5 in the league. Why completely derail this thread talking about real estate? It's weird.

Sounds like you're making a whole lotta excuses for why the Raptors won't win despite having the Best President/GM, Best Coach, and their fingers all over the team's DNA.
If you are right about them being the best, go on, be confident and pick one. Will the Raptors win a title this season? A title next season? A double? A three-peat? What's your pleasure?

It's too bad they avoid Toronto, it's a super fun city (4th largest NBA market) with all the big-city trappings and none of the "NYC douche-baggery."
Let me answer this a different way. The Knicks and Nets are better positioned to attract free agents than the Raptors. Not only do Americans have a greater affinity to NYC but also immigrants.
