I swear they would have at least 40 wins if only they didn't botch passes or free throws or defensive plays etc. Has to have been at least 20 games where they had solid chances to win if only they didn't make silly mistakes.

It seems that way, yet they've been really good in overtime games at 6-1, which is easily the best in the league.

Ya but I've watched most of the second halves this season. I don't doubt that stat but I'm positive it doesn't tell the full story. Some of those OT games were probably when we had double digit leads (or close to it) but then choked it in end of the 4th only to battle back in OT.

I'm fairly confident there's got to be some statistic to back the previous claim. Being the worst (or 2nd worst) free throw shooting team in the league along with having turnover machines, inconsistent defense and unbalanced spacing has hindered our ability to close.

LAL won’t catch MIN and LAC with George back in standing. So they will play for 8th spot at best in Play-inn and if lucky will meet with PHO….they are done this season

Ya, no way the Lakers are making the playoffs. This team can't win back-to-back play-in games.

Wow, so glad that Boston has worked itself off of that list (for a long time they were in second place on that list).

lebron shouldnt have passed to melo he should have drived that but yeah his knees are like done.
if im melo, i shoot that 100 times same scenario hes there to be a spot up.
this is all lebrons fault sure hes double teamed but everyone expects him to do something not just run away.
lakers are blowing so many close losses and insane theres ad or lebron and still lose.

to me, lebron is pretty much washed. everyone knows he is a jump shooter so it is very easy to contain him just double team he cant do jack. lebron just doesnt command the gravity steph or doncic does he barely moves so predictable.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Another L.
Raul
“The other day I saw one of his games. He was running with the ball at a hundred per cent full speed, I don’t know how many touches he took, maybe five or six, but the ball was glued to his foot. It’s practically impossible.”

The difference in the Knicks 3rd and 4th quarter was like watching two completely different teams

There was a topic created a while back about that IIRC…they can’t watch because they don’t have access due to a dispute between cable companies? or something along those lines

Where is the exaggeration? That's exactly what happened. You can pause at 5 and 6s. Gobert is beat, he puts his arm in front of Doncic to slow him. He then pushes against Doncic's left shoulder to reach across him. Whether you like it or not, this is supposed to be a foul and it is called a foul most of the time.

Could be a foul but we have seen the NBA let people do that all year.

Maybe at the start of the year. The reffing is all over the place this year. They allowed defenders to be physical at the start of the year, but have since softened. Pretty sure Harden is getting this. Butler, and by extension Luka, was getting to the line for way less in the Heat-Mavs game. But this is factually a foul whether they call it or not here.

Were the refs just letting them play?

Mavs 8 FTs (0 in the 2nd half)
Jazz 22 FTs

Doncic got 5 fouls, so clearly the refs weren't swallowing the whistle. After the game, Doncic said that he doesn't care about the fine but that ref doesn't like him. Ref biases are so problematic, but we don't want to acknowledge them.

What’s worse for the Lakers is that they got good games from Dwight, THT and Melo and still lost.
G - James | Rondo
G - Bradley | Caruso
F - Green | Caldwell-Pope
F - Davis | Kuzma | Morris
C - McGee | Howard
