Yes, he played for National team in like 10 summers. If I invited him to camp, I wouldn't have guts to cut him. dont invite him at all, or make sure he has a spot on a team. But as I said, wouldn't be surprised that Teo wasnt happy with his role and maybe (friendly) decided its not worth it.

Yeah, sounds likely, just unfortunately. Didn't think Pesic would do him like that considering his service but Teo hasn't always been a model pro from what I remember. Perhaps they mutually agreed it would be better he parts ways considering the reduced role he would have had - but somehow I doubt it.

Who do you guys think makes the team?

G. Vasilije Micić / Nemanja Nedović
SG. Marko Gudurić /Vanja Marinković / Aleksa Avramović
SF. Vladimir Lučić / Nikola Kalinić /Dejan Davidovac
PF. Nemanja Bjelica / Alen Smailagic / Filip Petrusev / Boriša Simanić
C. Nikola Jokić / Nikola Milutinov /

I believe Alen Smailagic was also cut, today.

Biggest difference for Greece is the coaching from Itoudis. Even with the rustiness and lack of familiarity between the players the team moves 1,000x better without the ball on both sides in comparison with 2019.

Spain looked horrible, they might struggle a lot at Eurobasket , they have the hole in the paint and they are missing Rubio's play making.

He's a legit elite coach. Was COTY in 2016 after leading CSKA Moscow to the European Championship. He just signed a 3-year deal with Ferenbahce unfortunately. :(

ANd speaking about Spain, I legit couldn't recognize half of their team, wow, what a transition from a generation that won 2 world cups and were in few Olympic finals.

Yeah it's funny how people kept saying "in FIBA Giannis would be called for travelling and pushing off and running into people"
Turns out, he isn't.

This game didn't show anything. Spain with B team and 0 preparation for Greece. I would like to see Giannis playing similarly against Gobert camping in the paint without 3 seconds defensive rule.

Didnt realize Jokic was playing. Thats great news.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Folks still don't realize that Giannis is the best roll man on the planet.

Why would he. NBA is the top tier for players, not necessarily for coaches.

Look at previous Spain's roster and tell me that they have similar quality. It's a worse roster in last 25 years. And more importantly they didn't have any plan to stop Giannis, because that isn't an objective for preparation games. All teams in Eurobasket will clog the paint against Greece.

Spain clogged the paint all game. I watched it. Gianni is a different player than he was in 2019. Much more patient, a crisper passer, plays off-ball a lot more and has developed his post-up and mid-range game. Obviously the Frances and Serbias of the World will present vastly different challenges.

Greece doesn't exactly have Spanoulis and Diamantidis and Papaloukas on the roster either, so it isn't exactly a golden generation.
