Highly doubt it'd be comfortable at all. Right now, Dallas isn't that good of a basketball team. No D, two ball dominant guards that haven't had much time to play together. I'd actually take NY in a 7 game series against the Mavericks right now.

That being said, this all doesn't change the fact that it's been 50 years since NY have won a championship and for a franchise that pushes the narrative that the "NBA" is better when the Knicks are winning, well, that narrative is weak AF when they've done sweet F all in 50 years besides a cup of coffee with the EC championship over 20 years ago and a small playoff push after they signed the Mavs 2011 championship team a decade ago. We all get it, their fans are excited that they've won a couple of games and are currently sitting in the playoff picture. But for Christ sake, actually win something come playoff time NY.

Honestly speaking, the Knicks trading for Hart and going on a tear has gotten more media than a rental in Kyrie. No disrespect at all, but NY/BOS/LA is gonna get those headlines. Books have been written on the 90s Knicks that you discredit. It's a basketball city with the highest population in the USA. What do you expect?

The league is fairly balanced. Actually very balanced. 4v5 gonna be insane against Cleveland.

Deep run or not, the Knicks have a special core.

He should make an All NBA team this year especially if the Knicks get close to winning 50 games and capture 4th in the East. Who would've thought right?

That's not how things work. Brunson's having a great season and it'll help him be an allstar next year...but to make an All-NBA team he'd have to be one of the 6 best guards in the NBA this season; which is a tough ask given the seasons that Steph, Dame, Luka, Booker, Ja, Spida, SGA, Ant, Fox, etc. are also having.

...and I wasn't the only one on here before the season saying that NYK to win 45+ games was a good bet, so us getting close to 50 wins isn't a complete shock. Especially with how well Randle has been playing.

Brunson has been excellent and should have been an all-star, but in no way is he an all-NBA player at this point for taking a team that was projected to be a play-in team into position to potentially be a #4 seed (likely a #5-6).

What the Knicks have is a young-ish core of guys that fit and play hard. No one is on a horrible contract and they have surplus draft capital going forward. However, their Big 3 is really 3 guys who could be a #3, so their is a real ceiling here. But the team is fun and the culture is changing. Combine that with roster flexibility, surplus draft capital, and New York City and the Knicks future is looking nice for the first time in the long time. Heck, 5 players in the 9 man rotation are home grown - Barrett, Robinson, Grimes, Quickley, Toppin.

And boy oh boy, if they can get into the 4-5 round and win a series, would be so great for the series and franchise.

Yo, I just don't know. The more I see Brunson and Randle jelling and I see us dismantling top seeded teams... Those cats seem on the same page. I can see JB or JR as a top 2 on a contender.

The Knicks look great and certainly are ready to make some noise in the playoffs this year with the current squad.

But imagine what happens if a true superstar like Embiid or Doncic would demand a trade to Knicks, wanting to win the championship for NY in the bright lights of MSG. Things are looking good for the Knicks..

I'm surprised a superstar hasn't wanted to join the Knicks since Carmelo; it seems like being the superstar of the media capital of the world would be good for your brand....

Curious about Barrett.. Is he becoming more consistent? What does he need to work on to take the next step?

He’s doing way too much. Well he was. He’s been doing much less. He can be a star if he stops forcing and gets his confidence back.

I’m not sure it’ll happen. I just don’t think he fits the Knicks roster.

Why would a star want to join the Knicks pre and post Melo… I mean the Knicks have been a better franchise since Melo days. But the Knicks never had an identity, and Dolan always threw money together and hope it’d work. Hence why KD&Kyrie chose the Nets, because they had a culture.

But now the Knicks can definitely draw in superstars. Brunson and Randle have been in Embiid’s ear. So 6ers better win a chip these playoffs. You can also see Butler come here, especially with Thibs.

Knicks have to be the most desirable spot in the NBA currently. They’re just one piece away from contending.

Knicks are on a tear because of their togetherness and they have been adding pieces(Brunson,Hart) to help the roster. Knicks are actually reaping the benefits of planting seeds and adding to that. Rivalry aside, they are going to be a really good team and now it's their time to shine and grow even more; their run reminds me of the Celtics a year ago, Knicks were down in the trenches three months ago and are now tearing teams apart. The FO has delivered a good team for NY. I still can't see them getting past the top three teams in the East but we shall see.

he's a bonehead more often than not. If he ever cleans up his decision making he’ll live up to that 3rd pick status. Right now for this team he should be a 18/5/5 kind of guy. But averaging 20ppg has been his goal all year. He seems to have slightly changed it up recently tho

If you get any of my 5 favorite players, I'll become a Knicks fan, I love Madison Square Garden and Thib is my favorite coach :D
My favorite players are:
Ben Simmons
Kevin Durant
Nikola Jokic
Cam Thomas
Kawhi Leonard
And I don't think Simmons or Thomas have a future in Brooklyn, while Vaughn is their coach....

He has tried too hard to be a 20 point scorer and not much else. I would rather he be a 15/5/5 guy and play within his limits, pick his spots and play defense. All of this he's capable of. When he looks for his teammates, good things happen. He got the lob pass for Mitchell Robinson that they seem to have at least one per game. He can exploit that. He can kick out to open shooters on the corner too when he doesn't have tunnel vision. Barrett would have a good efficient game and then chuck it up with bad shots to ruin his stats.

RJ is only 22. He can still improve.

Yeah if you want to deal with what Melo dealt with. We had people calling him racist because he didn't want to take backseat to a career 12/3/4 guy, booing him whenever we lost (even though the front office traded for Bargnani), etc. That's why I always said KD and LeBron wanted to parts of the Knicks. If the media can get to you it's the last place you wanna be.

We want no parts of Ben Simmons on the team. You would hate Thibodeau here because no way he plays a scared player no matter how good they are on defense. Simmons would get banished to the bench a lot farther than he did Cam Reddish.

I never thought of it that way, good idea to avoid New York then, because I guess the more media coverage you get the more slander you'll get too.

His right hand. He literally can't make right handed layups and he's in year 4. If you force him right basically it's a dead possession for the Knicks.

His defense has also been godawful this year which is something new. Usually he's good on that end but this year he can't stay in front of guys at all, he's getting bullied, and he's late on his rotations consistently.

This is easily his worst year since his rookie season. We keep finding ways to win in spite of him, last night for example we were -8 when he was on the floor in a 2 point double OT win.

At this point IDK what to do with him. He's frustrating because he's two small improvements away from being good.
