He'll stay another 3 years, get bounced out the 1st/2nd round and THEN request a trade.

Given his recent unfortunate history of injuries, does he really have 3 decent seasons left in him?
Maybe, but possibly not at Milwaukee

Giannis shouldn't turn down supermax money for a piece of jewelry worth a couple thousands of dollars. No player should honestly.

He's already played 10 seasons, he can get a 35% supermax offer from any team now.
Plus in a bigger market he could make more marketing money.

At that stage in their career, it’s about legacy and not becoming a trivia question at Quiz Night at some pub.

Shouldn't be too hard to sell him on the idea of becoming a legend and an icon in New York when leading the Knicks to the championship. One can hope

When his current contract is up in three years his career earnings will be 459 million. Or he can opt out in two years and his career earnings will be 398 million. This doesn't include any endorsement money.
How much more money does he need or want? He also has a championship, so he already proved that he can win one.
Any decision he makes shouldn't be about the money. He'll get paid a lot either way.

No team has the assets to trade for Giannis

Giannis has never had no major injuries in his career he was under cut by Love driving to the hoop and landed on his back that ruined that playoffs. Injuries happen to every team look at Tatum this year with his Achilles. Giannis was healthy this year it was just bad luck Dame got the blood clots and then blew his Achilles but so did Wemby have blood clots. Giannis will be a buck for the foreseeable future and here’s to him having a healthy rest of his career as a buck!

He needs as much money as he can get that doesn't cost him more time. The same way all people feel.

Hes not "all people". He's already super rich and he'll get paid a huge amount no matter if he stays or is traded.

He grew up poor and financially insecure. I find it quite likely that making as much money as possible will be quite important to him.
I would revise my earlier statement though to say that wanting to stay on Bucks to win a championship has been valuable to him but if that window is closed then he needs to consider other options.

I'm not sure if a big market will matter much to him because he's never been a flashy guy and already plays for a small market team (which proves that he can be successful anywhere).
Plus, like I said, he'll get paid a lot no matter what happens. For example, Damian Lillard was traded to Milwaukee and got a two year $100+ million extension. Giannis will get whatever the max amount is from whatever team trades for him (if he is traded).

Most of the Eastern Conference are uninspiring basketball clubs besides DET.

I'm in the minority, but I think the Bucks should trade him while he has two years left on his contract regardless of whether he wants stay. The only viable alternative is to trade that 2031 1st to dump Dame for expiring deals and hope to make a brand new team in the summer of 2026 with cap space.

I don't think you are in the minority.
The Bucks have had an incredible decade with Giannis, culminating in two MVPs for him and a championship in 2021.
With Lopez getting older, Dame getting older, and Giannis at 30...they should capitalize now.
The Bucks could get a treasure trove for Giannis right now and also Lillard would still have a ton of trade value as well.

Lillard has negative trade value. Lopez is a 37 year old FA who had trouble staying on the floor in the playoffs. Outside of a trade, a complete reset around Giannis in the summer of 26 is the Bucks only play, it will cost them to dump Lillard, there are risks with paying to dump Lillard this summer, and there are risks with waiting until next summer to try to dump Lillard.

My bad, I literally forgot Dame tore his achilles.

Only non-Bucks fans want to see Giannis traded, there is no trade package in the league that comes close to Giannis’s value or would be able to bridge the gap with our assets. It would be a decade of misery. No, we’re not trading Giannis for our own picks back. I am fine with Giannis going out like Dirk, he does not need to be on a 60 win team. You would need a gun to my head to agree to a Giannis trade. The Bucks will have more flexibility next season to make splashy moves.
You guys should start focusing on trying to get Jokic to leave Denver.
