Isn't that what tanking is though? That's why some of us have a problem with it. The Nets, Wizards and Jazz are about to lose a lot of games on purpose this season. Still, looking like Chauncey's done and will need to be banned from the league.

FBI is calling it fixing. He gave advanced info to the mob to gamble on that game. I assume it wasn't news at that point in 2023? Why would Billups have told his dangerous mafia guys to bet on info that was known? They'd have gone after his bum.

Although the coach was not named, the individual identified as “Co-Conspirator 8” was described as an Oregon resident who played in the NBA from 1997 to 2014. The indictment also states that this individual has been an NBA coach since “at least 2021.”

Billups played from 1997 to 2014. His served as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2020 before being named the Blazers’ head coach in 2021.

I am so disgusted. This guy is one of the favorite players ever. He made over 100 million in his playing career and just landed an extension recently. That he would implicate himself with this sort of thing in any way is just so disappointing.
