The team that came off a game 7 pulled it through late in the game. The team that was well rested started off good then started slacking. Irony.

Interesting game 1. This should be a good series

The Raps fans literally could not conceive of the possibility that Indiana being a bad matchup for the Cavs didn't also mean the Raptors were too. Like it was legitimately inconceivable. The only thing the Raps have is a legit "LeBron-stopper". Thad Young actually put the clamps on LeBron all the possessions he was on him but that wasn't Nate McMillans strategy. I thought Siakam would be another Thad Young but he doesn't have the same core strength, clearly
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

How was Love's elbow to Demar not reviewed? It should have at least been reviewed. I've seen softer flagrant fouls than that.
Lowry blows. Looked scared out there. Demar needs to take over when he sees Lowry like that.
Lebron was amazing, especially in the post.

You don't believe starting Love and TT will open things up for Love a bit? Also, Love can't get rebounds if he's at the three point line.

Yup of they lose this series you got to trade DD, Lowry, Ibaka and Val and let the young guys grow. Already have a young top tier bench.

Top tier bench that just got outscored by the Cavs scrub bench

Rough night but has shown to be at times more reliable than the starters and gives good variety of scoring. Cavs bench got lifted by Jeff Green you never invest in Jeff Green being consistent EVER. Tristan seems to be locked in got to have Ibaka or someone limit him.

actually I'm pretty happy Demar passed it to Vanvleet there. 99% of the time in past seasons he'll go one on one. Vanvleet is wide open so good decision by him, he's a better playmaker this season.
Too bad Vanvleet is still injured or he'd be playing the entire 4th and overtime but he had to sit.

I'd sit Korver and start J. Green. Not a J. Green fan for most match ups but I love him against the Raptors.

If the guy is injured why would he be taking the key shot in a critical game?

Now if they lose game 2 then the series is over but if they win game 2 then all they have do is win game 3 at Cleveland to regain control of the series. They have done this many times in the past. Cleveland won but barely. They should have lost this game. No matter what happens in this series Cleveland will NOT make the NBA Finals this year. I can bet $2000 on that. If it's not Toronto it will be Philly. BOOK IT.

Seriously, don't get dramatic and do that......

I'm so confident on it that I will make a RealGM bet on anyone here regarding Cavs not making the NBA Finals. How can you watch this game and think otherwise? The Cavs last year dominated the Raptors in game 3 on their home court. This game they were losing pretty much the entire game and should have lost the game. Anyways the series is far from over so let's see what happens in the next few games. I'm confident Toronto will win this series. Cleveland's role players stepped up and made their shots (14/35 from 3 40%) and Thompson had 9 offensive rebounds. That was the difference in this game.

At this point I expect DeMar and Kyle to play poorly down the stretch, but Jonas could have put it away if he wasn't missing 10 easy shots down low. He went 7-19, most of them were good looks.

I would rather have a center putting up good shots in the paint than having Kyle and DD looking like they lost they ********* minds and all of a sudden they gonna beat Lebron with heroic effort...

I mean I'd rather have that too, since close shots are the highest percentage of shots on the field and Jonas generates a lot of good shots. But again, he missed 12 shots, a lot of them were good easy looks. We involved him the entire game and he didn't deliver.

Not saying I'd go away from that plan, but out of all our players he had the greatest chance of building us a lead and he disappointed.

If they put Love on JV next game he going for 40! Have heart...NO WAY IN HELL LOVE OR TT CAN DEAL WITH HIM. JV balled OUT!
