You really think that this will be the worst environment that Pierce, KG, Williams, Joe Johnson, and Kirilenko have faced? Come on.

That's the one glaring advantage that the Nets have in this series. They've got a ridiculous amount of playoff experience scattered throughout the roster. A first round playoff series shouldn't be anywhere near as pressurized for the Nets as it is for the Raptors.

Athleticism is entirely on the Raptors' side, of course. Should be a really tight and interesting series.

Okay Canadians, will you *now* send Rachel McAdams over this way? I voted for you.

You still haven't given us back Pamela Anderson all these decades. We ain't sending ****.

Yuck. Do we even want her back? They can keep her, along with Justin Bieber

I might be a little bias, but I don't think any East crowd is as wild as our Raptors, the West has OKC and Golden State, Kings back in the day.

Sure they've had more pressure, but don't underestimate the Raptors faithful.

2014 NBA Playoffs: Toronto Raptors (3) vs Brooklyn Nets (6)

Post#348 » by ChampionRed » Thu Apr 17, 2014 5:27 am

I didn't read the first 17 pages but I'm assuming there's a lot of "Raps in 4" jokes haha. Anyway, I really think this series is going to be a great one. The Raptors are a really good team and have given the Nets problems this season. I'm actually really excited for game 1 and all the energy that the raptors fans are going to have. That arena is going to be the place to be on Saturday. Obviously I'm hoping Nets win the series but I'm really looking forward to match-up! These are two really good teams! Hoping for a great series, Raps fans! And I'm looking forward to the hundreds of game thread pages!

Not underestimating the Raptors fans at all. I know the crowd will be loud as hell.

But KG and Pierce have played in Game 7 of the NBA Finals in Los Angeles (as well as countless other unthinkably high-pressured situations, ie. Game 7 in Miami of the ECF, etc, etc, etc, etc). Game 1 of an Eastern Conference first round matchup will be absolutely nothing for them.

Kirilenko and Williams have been to the WCF against LA. Joe Johnson has played a Game 7 in 2008 on the road against the Celtics.

Again, not to take anything away from the noise of the Toronto crowd, but this is hardly pressure compared to what most of this roster is used to.

Kind of a fun question.

Which team has more HOFers? I can see arguments both ways.

Kidd must think this is the same Raps team he faced in 2007-08, He's not going to like what he finds.

This Raps team doesn't roll over like those Bosh lead teams.

I wish I wasn't a Raptors fan right now. This series has all the makings to go seven games and I don't think my heart can survive close games in the Playoffs.

Raptors. DeRozan, Lowry, Ross and Valanciunas will for sure make it to the HOF. The Nets only have maybe Paul Pierce.

Raps in 4 has been a joke on this forum for years.

I'm aware of that. Jokes are supposed to be funny. Nobody finds it funny anymore.

If you expected to come into this thread and not hear that joke, then you probably should reread the RealGM handbook.

Rule 1) Raps in 4.

Everyone forgets De Colo. It pisses me off.

You need to remember that it is the BASKETBALL HOF not the NBA HOF, so De Colo's international pedigree is taken into account.
