Goodluck Nets getting one in the loudest arena in the East.
You really think that this will be the worst environment that Pierce, KG, Williams, Joe Johnson, and Kirilenko have faced? Come on.
That's the one glaring advantage that the Nets have in this series. They've got a ridiculous amount of playoff experience scattered throughout the roster. A first round playoff series shouldn't be anywhere near as pressurized for the Nets as it is for the Raptors.
Athleticism is entirely on the Raptors' side, of course. Should be a really tight and interesting series.
I might be a little bias, but I don't think any East crowd is as wild as our Raptors, the West has OKC and Golden State, Kings back in the day.
Sure they've had more pressure, but don't underestimate the Raptors faithful.
Not underestimating the Raptors fans at all. I know the crowd will be loud as hell.
But KG and Pierce have played in Game 7 of the NBA Finals in Los Angeles (as well as countless other unthinkably high-pressured situations, ie. Game 7 in Miami of the ECF, etc, etc, etc, etc). Game 1 of an Eastern Conference first round matchup will be absolutely nothing for them.
Kirilenko and Williams have been to the WCF against LA. Joe Johnson has played a Game 7 in 2008 on the road against the Celtics.
Again, not to take anything away from the noise of the Toronto crowd, but this is hardly pressure compared to what most of this roster is used to.
