His statline has been very impressive, but I'm so glad I got to actually watch the second half, because the kid also put on a show.

No Kobe, no Lou and having found his 3 point shot over the last few weeks. Everything working in harmony for Russell.

39 points from D'Angelo Russell: the most ever for a Lakers rookie in a regular season game. That's amazing considering how many good players have drafted over the years.

This rookie class just continues to amaze.

I think Elgin Baylor had a 55 point rookie game apparently. But yeah, this class is amazing

A couple may be but he wasn't really looking to pass once he realized his shot was on. The new offensive set Byron installed also seems to run him off screens to get some nice open looks. Overall its setting up nicely for him to end the season on a real high unless Kobe comes back wanting to shoot his way out of the league.
