He just trusts Mack more to perform under pressure. Exum has played well at times this year, and could definitely be useful at times, but he's still a kid trying to overcome nerves, and the playoff atmosphere is a lot of pressure.
Mack can be a pretty good player at times too, and he'll probably get the benefit of the doubt as long as the game is close.
Exum may get a chance if Mack struggles defensively.
