Don't blame Kawhi, blame your incompetent FO. Masai absolutely fleeced Popovich and RC Buford on the Kawhi/Derozen trade like he took their lunch money. You mean to tell me they couldn't even get Fred VanFleet, SIakam or OG Anuby out of the trade? The most they could get out of was Poelt??

Whatever needs to happen to have Kawhi ready for a deep playoff run must happen. I get that this is messing with NBA marketing and having premier names missing on national tv games, but honestly the Clips should be careful and over-protective with Kawhi.

Dude can do dangerous things in the playoffs if he's managed correctly in the regular season.

I don’t get why Kawhi is playing at all if it’s a degenerative issue. He’s already missed a whole season with this injury so why is he healthy enough to play in some games but not others? Why is he playing any regular season games at all at this point? If the Clippers were really smart they would rest him all year, play some tune up games at the end of the year and have him ready to go for the playoffs. Clippers will be just fine without him especially when George comes back.We last year even with massive load management he was still “hurt” in the finals.

Kawhi cares about Kawhi and Kawhi's family. He doesn't care about fans, teammates, or the welfare in the NBA. Some would call this selfish, while others will see this as no different from most other employees in the general workforce.

If he and his camp were a little bit smarter, he'd play in the marquee games and sit out the ones few care about. He'd get the same rest, but wouldn't catch the same heat. I'm sure Silver and co are now working hard to try to convince him to do just that. Hopefully, they succeed.

I bet all the Kawhi fans who bought tickets to see him are devastated.

It almost seems like K.L purposefully seeks to sit out the marquee games, IE his playoff opponents.

I think it worked last year - the Eastern Conference had no idea how to stop him.

I'm pretty surprised to see all of the people wanting to fine the Clippers for this.

If you're a Clippers fan you should be happy that he's going to stay healthier longer and give you a better shot at a title, even multiple titles.

If you're not a Clippers fan why do you care what other teams do with their star player? For me the most entertaining form of basketball is when the Nuggets win. If they beat the Clippers I don't give a damn who was on the squad that day.

He's taking care of his body. I don't know why people are surprised - Kawhi was hanging on by a thread by the end of the title run. In one of his first interviews with Lowry - when they were bantering - Kawhi just joked that he was glad he didn't have to play b-ball the next day.

I think the Clippers did everyone a disservice by trying to say that they wouldn't be load managing Kawhi. The fact they wanted to manage the downside of early bad PR just exposed them to more consistent negative press later on.

Who cares, regular season is for gamblers, stat whores, and new fans. Playoffs is all that matters.

Russell Westbrook took a night off the other night, why no complaint of load management? lol You guys just want Kawhi to suffer injuries so Lakers can win the West easily? Look at the Warriors, they could have used some load managments, now all their stars are injured. All team's priority should be to protect the health of their franchise player and winning a title depends on them being healthy for the playoff. After seeing the result of Raptors winning a title and Golden State rushing an injured Durant back, you would think people understand the significance of load management.

Load Management is a lot easier for the fans and team to accept when the team is good enough to go 17-5 without you.

When the team struggles to win without you, then you're gonna start getting a whole lotta grief.

Objectively wrong.

Objectively dumb in this context.

Yeah, it said that evidently they were not as player-first as everyone loved to pretend.

Lol, you have no honour, and Kawhi managing a chronic injury does not reflect negatively on his. Stop crying and get over it. Your poor hurt feelings over a worse night of television are worth nothing.

At this point I am ninety percent sure some part of the people “outraged” just want him to get injured in a more severe sense. Because it is so unfair that worse players do not get to properly extract the benefit of their superior base health, right.

I was talking professional, fan boy.

Fans have emotional and sometimes financial investment at stake and if they didn't, pukes like this wouldn't get to do this for a living or live the lavish lifestyles they do.

Objectively correct. I wouldn't have said it if I were just guessing.

Not at all.

Except virtually everyone who's played here would say otherwise, even bitter pukes like Horry, Jackson and Blair, never claimed otherwise in that respect.

Get over it? That's funny coming from a fan of the whiniest franchise in pro sports. Scumbag bit the hand that fed him, gutted the franchise (forcing them to so much as consider the Raptors garbage they ultimately settled on) and hid while his sleazebag uncle attempted to tear down their well earned reputation. I could careless about last night's game; I was clearly talking in general.

 At Raptors fans defending Scumbag, when he couldn't careless about them. How pathetic.

Strike for baiting.

 At Stockholm Syndrome Raptors fans defending Scumbag, when he couldn't careless about their collateral damage behinds. Your irrelevant franchise gets handed a contrived championship thanks to the Spurs/Warriors injuries and you think you're on a pedestal now. Wannabees.

I blame him for quitting, intentionally destroying his value and having his sleazebag uncle attempt to bring down their well earned reputation.

That's why they so much as considered, let alone pulled the trigger on that embarrassing trade. They still obviously shouldn't have done it though.

Cop out to what. When you froth incoherently, there is no “thorough take-down” or whatever to be conducted. You are such a parody you discredit whatever “point” you think you are making as soon as you post. You serve as the primary example of why all us with a shred of rationality and broad perspective should point and laugh at the outrage this provokes.
