He doesn't look like he enjoys playing in actual basketball games. Not talking about playing basketball, just the actual game time part. He doesn't compete well.

And just like that Knecht gets dominated twice trying to post up, throws a terrible pass and Bronny gets bodied on the sideline for a turnover. Summer league

Gonna sound crazy but the moment Bronny sat down the Lakers went to pot. Coincidence likely, but Knecht pretty much tried to do it all himself for about 6 minutes and it didn't work at all.

That's why Bronny is such an amazing prospect. He does all the little things, competes and makes his teammates better.

He just took a practice shot from 8 feet out after play was called dead and airballed it.

Bronny sat with a 2 point lead, Lakers almost instantly go down 10, Bronny comes back in and they're back within 3 in a couple minutes with the James kid playing some damn good D.

Just the facts

Bronny is the summer league Bruce Brown. I don’t know what that makes him in the regular season.

not sure if the Lakers really see Bronny as a point guard. He just sits in the corner

But Bronny blamed it on USC and said he would be taking a diff approach (playing downhill, shooting/creating more)…wonder who he will blame it on now

On the heat side Alondis Williams has been electric tonight.

Tie game. Minute and a half left.

I might get hate for saying this, but Bronny is an average NBA catch and shoot jump shot from being a rotation caliber NBA player and an above average catch and shoot jump shot away from being an above average role player.

Bronny is just 19 and he’s clearly an elite caliber athlete even among NBA athletes — and he will get even stronger. He looks like he’s been in an NBA training program for years (maybe he has his whole life). He also has a good feel and awareness of the court on both sides of the ball and is an elite vertical athlete even at the NBA level. Even at 6’2, he can get his head above the rim.

He’s not confident in his shot or dribble at the NBA level, but he plays in control and knows his role and isn’t a player who needs shots or the ball… there is value to that. In addition, he makes quick decisions with the ball as a connector piece and has a good feel for how to make the simple pass when the offense is flowing that leads to getting defenses in rotation.

I think he is too passive on offense, probably because he’s not confident in his shot and while I think he spaces well it would be good to see him a bit more active in cutting, on offensive rebounds, and getting out to be an outlet in transition. In general, I think his actively level can pick up — he is playing like he’s looking to fit in.

He wouldn’t be in the NBA now if he weren’t the son of Lebron James, but I think there’s actually a pretty solid chance he at least becomes an NBA caliber bench player. I don’t see any reason why he can’t become an average or above average catch and shoot jump shooter. He has pretty solid mechanics and he appears to be a smooth athlete with good body control.

I’m rooting for him.
