Both France & Brazil looking like real teams with a cohesive offense. The ball doesn't stick a lot, they set screens and plenty of movement.

What do I care if it's popular or not? I'm here for the basketball, I don't have shares in the World Cup LOL

I thought Dwayne Wade would be awful on commentary, but he's not that bad.

Ludicrous continuation.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Since giving up a surprising 23 points in the opening quarter— credit to Brazil for their energy and hot shooting early— France has limited them 13 and 9 points in the middle quarters!

The claim that it isn't popular isn't even correct. The last four FIBA World Cups (2010, 2014, 2019, 2023) had huge attendance, huge TV viewership, and enormous income revenues. And each successive FIBA World Cup did much better than the previous one. The idea that it's not popular is just an internet myth and meme that originates from the ridiculous nonsense in US sports media, and the absurd notion that the opinions of one country dictate the opinions of the whole world.

Why did you think that? He's done TNT a bunch of times and hosted a game show, he's been building up to this for a while and I wont be shocked when he's doing the NBA on NBC games.

France making dumb challenges. Flirt with danger some more and Brazil might just as well steal this.

He used to play and also coach in France. So that's probably why.

Caboclo with a classic 4 fouls and zero points in 11 minutes game. He looks about two years away at this point.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

His skills are on point, his mindset and mental fortitude are 2 years away and will always be 2 years away at this point.

He's always been boring to me on TNT. Forced or corny. But yeah looks like he got a lot of practice and is comfortable talking on the mic.

I apologize if this has already been asked, but why is their only one Antetokounmpo on the Greek squad? Are the other brothers so bad they couldn't make the national team, or are they uninterested? I thought Giannis liked having brother(s) on his team.
