And where do you rank cleveland?
Also, You can always tell the people who lie, by taking the time to type that nonsense out.
You are such a hero, you must be proud of yourself. You neck must get awfully sore from holding up your swollen head all day.
Uh-huh.
Cleveland, never been. Been to Boston a few times, though, too many cities I’d take over it to count.
So you’re saying I’m lying? Imagine how I feel about that if I’m speaking truth. I can expand, been to many of those countries several times. Oh forgot Macedonia. Anyways, it’s not bragging, travelling doesn’t take any skill, you just go. You asked, I answered. How did you expect me to answer, a %?
But it does give you perspective. My head’s fine, you seem to ascribe more value to my experiences than I do, at least just in terms of ‘been there’. But as I mentioned, I like the perspective if affords. And I am more than used to Americans who think the world is contained in 50 states, hey, did you ever win the World Series? Or any other World* Championships (*USA)?
Good for you, hope your mother is proud.
Im not am american, but travel it frequently.
And if you have never been to clevelend, why did you feel the need to interject yourself into the debate in the first place? Actually I dont care. Dont answer. I assume its because you were hoping someone would take the bait and ask you about your "travels"
I have seen enough od the world to reasonably rank places I have been, And unlike you I have been to cleveland, which makes my statement on it hold far more weight than yours.
And if we want to bring european cities into it...Boston stands up with many, with cities like, Quebec City, san fran, washington ceveland doesnt come close.
I was interjecting about your arbitrarily assigning Boston 11th place in the world and wondered about your rubric. I wasn’t hoping anyone would ‘bite’, you were the only person I was talking to, and tbh I thought you’d just answer. Maybe you’re right and I should have expected ‘I know I am but what are you’, but at the time I did not know your style. Live and learn.
Anyways, Boston is ok. Generally American cities imo are much of a muchness, and Boston has some of that but it has a bit more flavour than most US cities imo. New Orleans is imo by far the most unique…not gonna say best because it has big downsides. Never been to SF despite being a Niners fan, but everyone tells me it’s not what it used to be, but historically it’s been mentioned as the best in the US. In pictures it reminds me of Lisbon. I lived in NY (when I was very young, only know the city from visits since) and it has its own vibe, San Diego was nice. LA was terrible. Used to live in Florida part of the year but never made it to Miami, the rest was mostly urban sprawl along the coast that bunches out around TB, etc. Chicago is pretty cool, closest to Toronto imo (not in terms of ranking , I mean flavour, people say NYC but I don’t see it at all, very different.) Seattle was dirty Vancouver. Buffalo kicking Niners ass, but the city is…I shouldn’t say, I know nice people from there. Austin was cool…the rest that I have been to and can think of all seem largely the same, especially in the MW.
Quebec is one of my favourite cities, by far the most European city in NA imo, Montreal is also cool. Washington was…ok, or more accurately good and bad. I would not think of it very highly but I get why others would. And the same goes for Boston, tbh, it’s better than most NA cities, but compared to what the world has to offer…nah. Istanbul, Paris, Barcelona, Prague, Venice, Rome, Budapest, Copenhagen, Munich, Seville, Kyoto, Hong Kong, Oxford, Florence, Melbourne, Siena, Salzburg, Krakow, London, Strasbourg, etc. etc. So much out there to see. And that’s not counting all the amazing places i’be never been but want to see, like Cairo, Katmandu, RdJ, Darjeeling, Damascus, Beunos Aires, Sao Paolo, Beijing, etc.
Edit: just noticed, where did I say I was rich? I’m definitely not.
