Caruso is a special role player but he was leaving if he was traded.

By advanced rapm stats, Caruso is a top 15 player in the league. OKC underpaid for a star. Giddey is better than nothing, but it's still not enough

big mistakes from other contenders not to outbid that offer.

Yep. If Bridges can net 5 1st round picks, then Caruso is easily worth 10. That is how good he is

Anyone wonder what the Wolves can do to right this ship? They don't look like they're in a good position even going forward.

Honestly, Lakers fan better get used to Luka just "not good enough" or "injured", or "had a bad series". He seems so out of shape and what not, I don't think he'd of been the guy to take you guys. And Lebrons like way way too old to be that guy.

The TWolves don't have the offensive talent & I wouldn't say Ant is a "fraud" but I do think the media overrates/overhypes him and I really do love Ant, he's probably the most charismatic player in the league...

But they act like he's competing for "face in the league" when he really hasn't done anything close to the top 4 players in the league (ie/ Jokic, Giannis, SGA & Luka) and his numbers are more on par with the fading superstars who obv aren't producing quite like they used to (LBJ & KD...Steph is still a slight notch ahead imo). But he is still so young ie/ Shai averaged 24ppg at the same age Ant is putting up 27ppg, so gotta keep that in mind although SGA erupted the next year to 30+ppg.

I just wouldn't be too quick to write him off and the TWolves' roster really isn't on par with OKC to be fair.

He has awful in the last two games. That is on your superstar.

No one is debating that, I'm just saying he's still really young and he's being expected to carry his team against the best & deepest one in the league -- how often do we really expect 23 year olds to carry their teams to the Finals but especially going through the CLEAR best team in the league?!??

Really think about that...

It's all a part of the growing pains...but again he does also need more pieces around him especially another player or two that can help him offensively. There's no JDub and Chet on the TWolves nevermind the waves of 3+D players to help create a relentless defence.

I want to see him compete. He does not always do that.

That kind of dog is in you.

Ant needs help. But the only players that have value (McDaniels and Gobert), are the same players critical to their current success.

I agree send him to Denver. Him and Jok would be great

You guys lost to this Minnesota Puppies team in 5 and your take away is that. Lol, lmao even.

Your predictions are as good as when you smugly betted for the Clippers and Lakers in round 1. Aka, not good at all.

Wolves really need another star to help carry the offensive load because Randle and Gobert always come up short in the playoffs and Ant is not a generational player that can carry the entire offense on his own.

Maybe they can trade for KD using either Randle or Gobert and filler although as a Suns fan I would really not want either on my team lol

Conley its probably the worst starter of any team that played in this playoffs...Gobert has not hands, Randle its Randle and when you have guys like Mcdaniels, Alexander, Di Vincenzo or Reid carrying the offense in volumen shots, you are lost.

Anthony Edwards could have done better, but not his fault by any means, he's being guarded by two the series and his teammates don't have enough quality to take that on atvantage
When this account gets more "And1"s than posts written ...then my life will be complete. And maybe it will be the right time to hang it up. (Achieved on 2017-2018 season)...but still here.

he's not timberwolves villain but all those top 5 talks on him makes no sense.

he has no in between game. he's either dunking or shooting threes that ain't going to make it as an offensive focal point

i mean, they've made the WCF two straight years with horrific PG rotations

just getting even average PG play would keep them at same level, and PG's probably the deepest position in league, at least historically (more good small players than big players)

Ant is several years younger than the other superstars you mentioned. He has definitely got time on his side to get better and evolve as a player.

The OKC roster like the Celtics last season is largely based on the modern game's speedy ball movement and perimeter shooting.

This Wolves team whilst talented, is more constructed for older school Hoops, say from the 90s to the mid 00s.

Haven't got enough wings that can excel on offence when Ant Man is having a down game.

Durant to the Wolves for a couple of years really intrigues me if they want to go all in for a chip now.

KD to MIN doesn't really intrigue me tbh.

They're not just adding him for free or for scraps, they'll still be some really competitive bids from HOU (especially) and rumour was SAS as well. So McDaniels is a starting point and if they lose more perimeter defence, OKC will just continue to swarm and wear them out. The TWolves basically would have to construct a roster like MJ Bulls but obv where do they find a tall defending PG like Ron Harper and McDaniels can do his poorman Pippen impression defensively but offensively it's not close especially as a passer/facilitator which is another HUGE thing the TWolves are missing.

But really they need to add a lot more 3+D players to their roster AND a reliable 2nd option. I have no idea how they'll be able to do that though.
