If they got Luka, they for sure can get Turner. Kleber, Morris and 1 second should be enough.
Hey Bob8, how do you think your Luka boy feels about this trade ? He'll probably like the fame playing in LA, but at the same time it's like starting from scratch. The load on him will be even bigger in LA and he's become injury prone. I don't like the fit with Lebron at all. It's an old and slow duo, so defense is a major concern. Very curious to see how these two share the ball on offense being neither is an off ball player.
Luka is in pretty good position, if he doesn't like in Lakers, he can simply walk away in 1.5 years. Luka in Spurs would be great.
Injury prone? He has played 39 games more games in last 5 years than 5 years older player they traded for.
Well, being younger it's expected, but the huge USG% has always been a concern about his health in addition to not taking much care of his body. Now he needs to carry a team on his back again. Doubt he waits the full 1.5 years if he can sign an extension in the offseason, especially if this move was initiated by him/his agent.

The joke is on him because DAL was already winning and fresh off an NBA finals appearance

The rest of LeBron's tenure they barely cared about his demands. The biggest proof was breaking up the 2021 team. LeBron was adamantly against that.
Aside from trading for AD and later WB, getting JJ in as the head coach. Oh and using their 2nd rounded to draft his son who's clearly is not NBA ready. And telling other teams that if they draft him Bronny will not sign and go play in the AUS league.
Any team in their right mind drafts Bronny. Like I said, for actual consequential decisions the Lakers brass do not give a flying f*** what LeBron truly thinks if they're convinced of their choice. They also hosed T Lue in negotiations when that's LeBron's top dawg as a coach. They just liked JJ in general because he's actually got all th qualities of an elite coaching prospect. None of what you said actually counters my premise
You're absolutely delusional about all of the points you made. JJ & LBJ making that podcast together was a very obvious push to sway public opinion on Reddick. Those two discussing and breaking down fairly basic basketball sets that have been used for decades while drinking wine and dotting down the plays on a piece of paper all to sell JJ as the new coach of the Lakers. And I'm not bringing down JJ btw, he had a very successful career in the NBA, he knows his X/Os very well but that is expected from someone with his resume as a player.
The Lakers of all teams signing someone as a head coach, that has no prior experience whatsoever as an assistant coach or even being part of the coaching team or has held any role in the front office ever at the NBA level is unprecedented. No other team would make that signing. And Lakers did it because that's what James wanted. That's how much control he has and we're talking about LAL here, a legacy team.

I assume he demanded to go to LA. Because if not, why not have an all out trade war for him? There is no doubt they could’ve gotten so much more in return from other teams.
Just for what little they got in return. I feel like it has to be one of 2 things.
1. He demanded a trade only to LA and made it known he was going to bounce to free agency in 2 summers unless it was to the Lakers
2. There is massive red flags with his medical that we’re don’t know about.
Youre delusional
If it was a team other than the Lakers, New York Boston or Miami you could maybe try to explain but this was obviously done for league revenue and health of the business.
Luka is out of shape and still averaging 28 7 and 8 and took the team to the Finals last year
Any counter argument is silly

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

It will be interesting to see if the Mavs start leaking negative stories about Doncic to sway public opinion in their favor.
If the Mavericks don't win the championship this year or next, fans should revolt and boycott the team. Anything less than a championship is a failure, since they got to the finals last year, and they did this trade to upgrade and get better.
Lakers have no big man now. GMs should not want to deal with Pelinka after this, there is no need to help them any further.

Nico Harrison has the biggest balls ever. How can you do this knowing what everyone will say?
He talked to only one team!!! So he knew he wanted AD? Didn’t even try to call the Wolves to ask about Edwards.
“Hey, I want AD.
-I don’t think you have enough…
-I’m giving up Luka.

They have been doing it since the trade was announced.

It wasn't, he don't even want to talk to Nico, as Nico said himself, Luka not answering his calls or text messages.
I don't believe he will sign anything soon, his trust in FO is non existent at the moment. He should just wait and see if Lakers can build contender, if not go wherever he wants.
Concern about his health is exaggerated, this is his first long term injury and he will be back in a week.
