Bird, Magic, Isiah, Hakeem, Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Shaq, Penny , Grant Hill, Clyde, Ewing, David, Kobe, Duncan...

Those are some of the players that played while Pippen was active that I would have choosen for my team before Scottie. I don't think he was ever a TOP 5 player of the League.

He is without a doubt the player whose prestige has rised more in the years after his retirement in comparison with what it was while active.

Are you high?

Bird, Magic, Isiah were icing their careers in 94.

Kobe, Duncan were probably still in school then, which is where you need to go again perhaps.

Malone, Shaq, Barkley & Hakeem have a case of having better career years than Scottie, but 94 belonged to Scottie, just like 2019 was Kawhi's and 2006 was D-Wade's.

He must be a giant d-bag..... Supposedly even Magic doesn't like him (and Magic loves everyone)

I've always hated Isiah Thomas. I remember when he clotheslined Magic Johnson in one game, that was the last straw for me. It's no wonder that nobody wanted him on the Olympic team.

I really hated the Bad Boys as well, except for Joe Dumars and Vinnie Johnson.

Just Mike and Scottie didn't want him on the team, cos they got their asses handed to them, not in a pleasant way, for a long time till they figured it out. Mike's constant trash talking including to his team mates and wasn't exactly pleasant either. The hand shakes BS is just an easy layup opportunity for slamming the Pistons, like Lebron and his posse slam dunked Phil Jackson a couple of years back.

I like him. Easily a top 3 ever PG(Magic,Isiah,Steph) and MJ wouldn't have this legacy without the Bad Boys. Then there would be arguments like Lebron had to live with all time dynastic teams like the Lakers, Spurs, Celtics and Warriors. MJ had it easy, as the Magic-Kareem-Bird era was coming to close when he started winning.

Anyone know why it took them so long to produce this series? Why did it take them 15 years to produce this? I'm not complaining, I think this is the perfect time for it just a bit surprised that they were able to hold out this long.

Also love how unfiltered it is. Espn should let all players toss out F'bombs after 9pm.

It's not unfiltered at all. It's more behind the scenes than we usually get, but this is more filtered than the air through N95 masks :D :D.

MJ had absolute editing rights on this.

are you joking?

Athletes couldn't stop pissing hot in the Olympics during the 80's.
Pro leagues didn't take PED's seriously until the mid 2000's.

It was locked in a vault until they got the okay from MJ. Ramona Shelburne wrote a great article about it: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/29044827/an-all-access-michael-jordan-documentary-how-last-dance-was-made-possible

Loved the scene from last night where Ron Haper was like you going to put Craig Ehlo on Jordan. Ok....F that BS. LOL.

It's crazy how Jordan and the Pistons still have strong animosity towards each other still to this day. A simple handshake could have gone a long way to clearing this up. Wow. And even though I love Jordan the player, not necessarily they guy off the court. He is right the Pistons beat the crap out of Chicago twice and they still stayed around and shook hands. Detroit not so much.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

Yeah, can't be worse than Pat Bev, Marcus Smart, etc, except he had skills.. whatever it takes to stop the greatest player in the game, right?

Yea but Pippen didn't do anything in 94 that would put him in the top 5, let alone at the top to say it was his year. Yes, he did finish top 3 MVP voting, but that's not indicative of a player's actual placement in the league. Otherwise you'd have to say last year was the year of Paul George since he also finished top 3 in MVP voting.

What, dude? You're a Knicks fan so naturally you hate Scottie Pippen. That's a lot of hate.

- Pip was number 2 in steals behind Nate McMillan. That's elite.
- 8th in league in scoring average. Among the elite.
- #1 in assists average among forwards. Elite.
- All Star Game MVP. Elite.
- Finished 3rd in league MVP voting. Among the elite.
- First Team All Defense.
- First Team All NBA

The facts disagree with you. Shaking my head. Crazy. Pip was Top 2 in 1993-1994 behind Hakeem.

Pat Bev does what he can out there to still be gainfully employed in the NBA. Zap him into 1990s and he would make Laimbeer look like an angel. I wouldn't drag Marcus Smart into it, cos the dude's actually done some work on improving his overall game last season.

When legends like Magic & Bird start calling someone the man, in their prime, you better believe, good old fashioned honest "May the best player win" attitude won't get it done.

I'm glad the Bad Boys existed. They're a bigger part of the MJ legacy than Magic & Bird. Imagine if he got to simply take over the league when Kareem, Magic and Bird got older and win 8-10 on the traught without any resistance.

Michael didn't win a finals series coming from behind, heck he never went to a game 7 in the finals and the addition of Rodman was almost like playing it with all the cheat codes ON (much like the 73 win Warriors + KD). Would've been more fun to watch him lose a few in there and come back.

Glad some folks here give Pippen the respect he deserves and understands how good he was. Otherwise reading some posts, i was starting to believe he was the Nik Stauskas of that era.

That doesn't put him ahead of Hakeem, Shaq, Malone, Barkley, Robinson, or Ewing.
