Either nobody has watched LMA this season or this is going by LMA of a couple of years ago or this is some aspirational conjecture. Unless LMA was completely faking his locked knees, contesting 3 point shots with arms up in the paint, and getting blown by defenders then this is an uninformed report.
Perhaps a more motivated LMA has a bit of juice left and will do better in Brooklyn's sets. But otherwise...

Agree like Griffin he's depth and may hekp but he's a helpful role player at best, people are acting like the nets have 5 current all stars (some people even lump Jordan in to make it 6) lol. Drummond may be a bigger pickup then those three players combined.
Well LMA can and likely will have some throwback games -- on O. And if the Nets are in half court LMA is terrific - that's his bread and butter. Even in a struggling year on fewer minutes and far lower efficiency he was still averaging around 15/5. But that report focused exclusively on acquiring LMA for his D and I had to double check its date. He's willing and able if an opponent is close enough as he has the body and smarts to make vet D strips, blocks, rebounds. But otherwise his D has really fallen off. He'll help, especially in a more focused role where the main guys are getting most of the attention, but saying he was acquired for his D was a strange assessment.
