apparently he wanted to go today but the Jazz held him out. I think he'll be back by game 2

Grizzlies are playing well but be real, they're playing above themselves and Jazz are missing their best player.

No one knows.
Yeah he was a game time decision today, but he's probably very close.

Random question. As a Raptors fan, I always wondered if we kept JV instead of trading for Marc Gasol.

Do you think Embiid would've performed better in the '19 playoffs against JV. Or would it be the same?

I think you guys would have lost w/ JV. It's not to say that JV is terrible but Gasol beats Jo because his basketball intellect is so incredibly high. Gasol never falls for Jo's bull **** and he is just an incredibly smart defender despite seemingly being at a disadvantage in every conceivable way vs Embiid. It's not to say JV hasn't had solid games vs Jo but he's been straight roasted too. By comparison, before this year Jo legitimately had one single good game versus Gasol which is nuts.

Edit: also Gaso having some ability to draw Jo from the basket mitigates some of his defense capabilities unlike JV.

I mean MEM can still sweep. So seems like a fine prediction

Mitchell averaged 35ppg against the Grizzlies this season and we swept them during the season. Believe me we're missing Mitchell.

Yeesh, big individual perform for Brooks, his teammates gaining confidence, Ja chilling, SloMo and JV solid as a rock, Utah playing like crap

Perfect storm for a Game 1 upset. Nothing saving Utah unless 3 ball falls or Clarkson goes berserk again offensively

Sure but regular season sweeps mean nothing. As a raptors fan trust me. If they can’t emulate it in the playoffs it’s irrelevant

I think the Raptors won't make the Finals if they don't trade for Gasol. Giannis specifically mention Marc making things very difficult for him in that series.

This is a game where you miss Jae Crowder.

Yup, partly attributed to Gobert's limitations

That he's not a 3pt shooting big?

Gobert has nothing to do with the Jazz poor play or shooting, but keep beating that false narrative.

Do the Jazz have no backup plan aside from jacking up 3s? Seems almost every possession they shoot a 3

We also really benefited using Gasol as a playmaker at the elbow and top of the key
