lmao, using +/- is stupid. The Thunder had multiple of their NBA starters playing against a Grizzlies team that had no NBA players. If Chet's +/- was negative against non-NBA players, that would be a huge problem.

Looking at +/- for a single game is pointless regardless.

Didn't Anthony Morrow drop 47 in a summer league game once? I wouldn't put much stock into anything you see during summer league

Every year there are posts on Realgm saying that X team made a mistake passing on X player. Last year it was Barnes. I guess Chet is the one this year. Let's see how everyone else in the draft does first before judging it.

How is the dude's worth ethic? He's had a few years to prepare for the draft but still looks quite chunky. I like his game but that's more than enough time to shed pounds for the NBA DRAFT which is supposed to be a life changing goal for people. You'd think someone who really wants it would at least do that.

Chet's lack of mass is going to be his biggest problem, but man he is an eraser on the defensive end. Incredible instincts and obviously ridiculous height and length. Another 4 blocks and 2 steals tonight, and countless changed shots/drives. I worry about his ability to defend in space, but from what I've seen so far, he has enough length to cover up his lack of lateral quickness. It's the mass and players getting into his body to knock him off balance that will be more of a problem.

The offense will be interesting to watch. So far from him, he seems very comfortable and effective shooting the pull-up three, the one-foot fade away ala Dirk, and little jump hook over his shoulder. He will have plenty of opportunity to develop these shot packages, and if he can hit them consistently, he will be really tough to guard.

He also seems out of shape right now. He needs to up his conditioning at the NBA level.

Yeah Chet’s DPOY potential is already starting to look obvious. But he needs to get stronger without sacrificing his Gumby esque traits for that to really come to fruition.

Morrow also dropped 42 in a real NBA game, so maybe we should be putting all the stock into summer league

Hopefully we dont bubble wrap Paolo and have him match up with Chet next game.

So this thread can reach at least 50pages before we let it die. Lol

Hey look a realistic and measured take on a young player, How odd. Lets go back to pretending these are finished products and the talent they are going up against are NBA level players

Paolo has been the best rookie in SL so far. Obviously it's just SL, but the signs are good. His game looks really mature.

Paolo was by far a much safer, higher floor and quicker impact player. Basically bust proof as much as that exists. Chet is a more unique talent but that comes with its greater risks.

Disagree, Ivey put up 31/8/6 in 37 mins of action total (Paola played 34 mins in just tonight's game) and looked primed to have a huge game before he got injured.

Paolo has shown the versatile skill set you like to see. But “played well”? Not really. In OT, he dribbled himself into trouble twice and the game winning assist had nothing to do with him, really.

Paolo’s going to be very good and a very interesting player. But other than having the ball in his hands all the time, he hasn’t been that good this week. Just means he’ll get a lot more comfortable yet.

Banchero is a solid pick, all 6 first picks played great, maybe Jabari not but he is the youngest.

But the upside of Chet is insane, MVP caliber on the making.
