lol I just knew poker pros had to have been the marks in a situation like this. Cheating scandals really only get uncovered like this when the cheaters are really bad at cheating to the point where it is blatantly obvious.

If Silver is dumb enough to let gambling into the sport, then let's at least come clean and expose the BS that's most likely been going on behind closed doors since the beginning of basketball.

I'm sure that will make the crime families very happy

This isn't some weak twitter feud that boils over. You don't want to make enemies of these people.

I doubt Billups would be dumb enough to rat out the wrong people...then again if he really is as implicated as much as he is? He's plenty dumb.

I'm still in shock about Billups. Rozier seems like a shifty guy so not surprised. Billups seemed to be a stand up guy and this just seems so out of character. Yeah all that gangsta talk ain't good.

I completely forgot about Billups previous rape charges. This doesn't make him guilty of that but it becomes more questionable.

Are there any information yet why did he involve in the whole process? We're talking a hall of famer with great post-career job, it's just so weird.

The other thought: these betting games in his case sound secondary to the main claim (RICO and poker fraud), so you can wonder how many soft illegal bettings happens within the NBA on similar basis, cause I don't think we would've found out if he hadn't been a part of much further investigation. The same with Aspiration and the Clippers - we wouldn't have gathered all the information if Aspiration hadn't filled for bankruptcy. This is so messed up. Rozier was also an idiot. So you only find out about frauds in the league when people make idiotic moves? What about the smart ones? Scary.

One thing that came out in the indictments today is that Jontay Porter was indebted to wrong people and he was actually threatened. Those rigged poker games where Billups was the attraction were run by the Bonanno, Genovese, Gambino and Luchese crime families. I'd be surprised if he too wasn't working off a debt. Those are absolutely dangerous people.

Guess the punishment for Billups n rozier

Post#393 » by neno » Fri Oct 24, 2025 1:38 am

My guess
Mr Big House will be fined 10 million
Terry Roulette will be fined 10 million
No need to ban either since no one would want them anyway

Trump is the Lebron of presidents. Whose also been brought up in this thread. Living rent free in the heads of millions.

LeBron is involved in this though. The Damon Jones stuff. Of course, according to ESPN, LeBron "James was unaware that Jones, his former teammate and assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers, was involved in gambling activity when Jones spent time around James and the Lakers during the 2022-23 season"

Sureeeeee. Always gotta protect their golden boy.

Huh? TDS folks need more help. I mean like a lobotomy.

How does one man live so rent free in so many heads - surprised university’s don’t have a class on that.

So it's rent free if multiple people are mentioning him? okay

Sounds like this is striking a nerve with you.

I don't know about Rozier, but Billups now has much bigger problems than his NBA career or legacy, these RICO allegations are super serious, especially considering how it was widely known prior to today that he was a part of scamming activities in some circles (poker players).

If Billups gets indicted for the sharing confidential information (vis a vis tanking), then it stands to reason that the NBA has to come down hard on tanking from now on, otherwise they'll keep getting investigated on stuff like this.

His choice at this point is cooperate and go into witness protection, or take his chances with a jury and risk a decades' long prison sentence.
