Obviously there are no specific rules about what can and can't go on in a topic I create, but I would expect at least an ounce of intelligence to be put into these flow charts. It was my choice to come into MY OWN THREAD. The title wasn't "mindless Kobe and LeBron bashing," obviously I wouldn't have entered a thread if it was going to be full of crap. I'm sorry that I didn't pay attention to the fact that it was your thread to begin with, but the point is still valid. This is the internet. You know, the same internet that's been filled with noobs and half brain-dead 14 year olds since practically the day after TCP/IP was introduced to the public. Threads are going to get dumb-downed and derailed by the inevitability of idiocy and conformity to common attitudes (i.e. dummies trying to be funny). If you're going to have a stroke every time people rehash the same old bull, you're going burn yourself out real fast. And the funny thing is, like I've said before, instead of using that beautiful brain of yours to think of a new topic you'd like to discuss and let the simpletons have their fun, you try to exercise some measure of control over something you know you have absolutely no control over. That's the very definition of being anal.

Honestly, you knew what was going to happen. That's why you're pissed. But now it's time to get over it.

Here's the thing, you don't know my posting history AT ALL. I don't "have a stroke every time." In fact, I rarely create topics and I don't participate in Kobe/LeBron threads or whatever is "popular" (read: stupid) at the time. And I was doing EXACTLY what you said, I created a new thread with a new topic that I wanted to discuss, read, and/or laugh at. I let the "simpletons" talk about LeBron, the Heat, Kobe, etc. in the numerous gigantic threads already dedicated to them. Do you suggest I make another thread? I don't understand. I'm not trying to control anyone either, I'm expressing my dissatisfaction for some of the posts in here. It's not like I'm reporting them to the mods, hell, I'm not even specifically reprimanding anyone. I'm just pissed.

I'll make one about Rajon Rondo in the closing seconds of a quarter:

How many seconds 'till the horn?
- 7 or more:
Pass the ball to PP and run an isolation play for him

- 6 or less seconds
Dribble the ball behind the 3-pt line while the time is running out, and with 1s to go shoot a 3-pointer, even though you know shooting is your weakness.

John Salmons.

Do I have the ball?

Yes - Jab step

No - stand still waiting for the ball trying to control right leg from Jab stepping uncontrollably.

And again, I must say, what's the point? It's the internet. You can't avoid this ****. You know that. It's gonna happen to every topic. Every last one of them. And you have the choice to just not read them. You act as if you've never seen a scroll button. I myself either skip the thread entirely knowing what kind of dumbassery is ahead, or just scan the first line of every post, decide I don't wanna read it for whatever reason, and then scroll down. I may be new on this forum, so you're right, I don't know your posting history at all, but I do know how VERY large forums operate, and its usually filled with a mix of nerds, dumbasses, hyperbole poll riders, ass kissers, fat broads, and a few teenagers. That mix sounds like a disaster, and it is. And it's like that everywhere. The **** people say on this forum, repetitive as it may be, is at worst, an annoyance, and at best, an amusing string of tirades, tangents, and one-line zingers. I've seen faaaaaaaar worse than this, almost to the point of complete chaos, so it certainly could be worse than having to scroll down.

Once again, this was my thread, so I chose to go through all the replies. I can't magically predict whether or not a certain post is going to piss me off and then skip it. I don't "have a choice to just not read them" if I don't know exactly what they are in the first place. That's why I don't even bother with the current LeBron/Heat threads; I know what they are and I skip them. I don't do youtube comments, 4chan, and I even tend to avoid facebook comments, etc., so when a topic that I created with a specific purpose in mind contains mindless, cliched, and overdone bashing of two great NBA players, I feel that I'm allowed three ****ing sentences of cynicism. It's not like I was going to follow it up with anything. And of course I've seen a scroll button. You act as if you've never learned how to properly use hyperbole (not like I do either, that's why I don't use it). I was never as pissed off as you act like I was; I had three sentences of angst before you came along. I DO skip the entire thread if I know it's going to be full of "dumbassery" or if I know it's going to piss me off. I'm already doing exactly what you advise, like this from your last post: "And the funny thing is, like I've said before, instead of using that beautiful brain of yours to think of a new topic you'd like to discuss and let the simpletons have their fun." You didn't even address the fact that I said that I already do that. Are you just selectively ignoring certain things?

All the other stuff you're saying doesn't even matter...what are you trying to do, convince me to not be pissed, to let it go, to chill? The fact that you're telling me that the internet is made a variety of people who join forces to be very annoying is not a comfort at all; it certainly doesn't make them less annoying.

I get pissed at annoying people. I wrote three sentences demonstrating I was annoyed. Annoying people on the internet annoy me. My three sentences were warranted.
