It's also in the Guiness book of world records. At least the Danish version. I just checked.

Well, I'm from Sweden and that story is true. The scary part is that it's only 10 mins quarters being played here so at most he logged in 40 mins.

If $7.00 Canadian is like $5.00 US

Then 272 points Swedish is like 32 points US

I can believe it now.

I remember reading that in the 1990 edition of the Guiness Book of World Records I owned. Must be legit.

Every wiki page has a list of sources, you can click those sources as well as google the information yourself. Or you can continue to be an idiot and claim everything on that site is fake.

One Danish guy. Me. And I know of it. I've known about it for like 15 years. I thought it was common knowledge.

I don't know much about it. All I know is that he has confirmed that he scored all of his teams 272 points, and the other team scored 0. He just recently stopped playing basketball I read in an article not too long ago. He was playing for some veteran team with players over 40 years old or something like that.

Supposedly the score was 272-0.

I remember a fun game from my school days ... School's basketball team played against some "nerds". I think they played to 21, with the "nerds" only needing 1 single point to win the game (they had some wager, don't remember what it was about). Anyways, full-court press, and there wasn't one single time that the "nerds" inbound the ball correctly!

Anyways, if the basketball team was forcing one single player, I can actually see him scoring 272 as totally possible in a 40 minute game.

40 minutes, that's 2400 seconds. Let's make a conservative guess that a team needs 10 seconds per possession to create a shot for their main guy ... And after every shot, the opponents control the ball for an average of 5 seconds (to either make a turnover after a rebound or inbound).
That's 15 seconds per shot, that's 160 possessions for his team in a game!
Considering that it could be mostly layups, it's actually possible to make 272.
(but with all the turnovers, it shouldn't be too hard to get to 200 possessions! also, don't forget about offensive rebounds)

All-in-all, I say it's completely plausible. You just need enough of a talent-gap between 2 teams.

P.s.: There's also another, much easier way, obviously, with both teams playing with a purpose of getting that one guy to such a high number ...

I think it was Lisa Leslie or the other lesbian, Reggie Miller's sister that scored 100+ points in a high school game where it was the school's tradition for the team on the last game of the season to just give the ball to its best senior and see how many points she can score.

She scored 100 points at HALF TIME before the other team forfeit. So if she can do it, I can somewhat believe this Swedish kid scoring about 35 points more in the 1st half and then doing the same thing in the 2nd. I don't why the other team didn't just forfeit though.

Because I remember how I was when I was 13 years old.

Had I scored 272 points in one game you had best believe I would have taken full advantage of it.
