a pierce wheelchair comment, how original. don't be mad because the c's are going to make it to the finals again this year.

West is boringly predictable. I don't see anyone taking more then 2 games against the Lakers.

With that being said, it will be the Lakers against the Celtics, and Boston in 7.

Not gonna happen.

The Spurs if healthy can give the Lakers a tough battle kinda like OKC did last year but I don't see them beating a healthy Laker team.

Barring injury I think we will see another classic LA/Boston Finals.

If that's the case what a hella of a series that will be.

I think L.A. would win in 6.

For some reason, I am partial towards Utah upsetting the Lakers if it is going to happen at all. However, this is based on a limited sample size of games.

We really only have 3 oldies (Dyess 36, Duncan 34, Ginobili 33). Everyone else is actually fairly young.

RJ-30
Parker-28
Splitter-26
Bonner-30
Gary Neal-26
George Hill-24
Blair-21
James Anderson-21

So as you can see we're no older than the Celtics who have just recently gave the Lakers a run for their money...

I'm not saying it is not possible. But, your squad does have a few players over 30. I still feel that the Spurs have fallen off relative to years past, but there is no denying the talent evident on your roster.

Yeah.. just like the Lakers..

Age is a really weird argument here, because in fact the average age (adjusted for minutes played) for Lakers so far this season is 30.7 years and for the Spurs is 28.8. The Spurs are in fact a younger team than the Lakers.

Theo Ratliff doesn't really help our average age  he plays like 3 minutes a game.

He played 67 minutes so far and as I wrote the numbers are adjusted for playing time. Use Andrew Bynum instead of Theo Ratliff in those minutes and the average age drops down to 30.4. Still older than the Spurs.

How boring would that be. 3 of the last 4 Finals would be the same matchup, with the Lakers making it 4 straight times. And everybody was complaining about another team killing parity...

Anyway, if my Heat don't make it, I'd just like to see two completely new teams, or as close to it as possible. Maybe something like Blazers-Magic.

id love to see the spurs in the finals. i've never seen a fanbase more confident than the lakers this season. on their boards the theme is "if we keep playing like this, the celtics will have homecourt". right or wrong, there is not even the slightest fear that the lakers won't make it to the finals.

They have every right to think that way. They've been in the finals the last 3 years....now those Heat fans that think 5-8 championships are just gonna fall in their laps are a different story

not saying they can't think that way, i just pointed out right or wrong, they do. And i would enjoy it very much if the spurs won. i don't hate the lakers or anything but i dont think the west will be the cakewalk their fans think.
