Forgot Will Bynum. I played against him in a 3 on 3 game at a college campus....He burned by me 3 times in a row. He laughed the third time because I had a puzzled look on my face. I used to think I was a good defender.
For the first time in my life I realized that I was truly happy.......then I remembered I was drunk.

I was at a Subway one time and Joe Dumars walked in. He was really nice and i talked to him for a good 5 minutes about bball. I also got a picture

I sat near Shaq in a restuarant one time in Great Lakes Crossing Mall in Auburn Hills, Michigan. I kept starring at him because i didn't want to disturb him but then he threw a napkin at me that had "stop watching me" written on it. I was so freaked out but he was laughing at my face's expression and then talked to me for a sec. He was really cool

I met Jonas Jerebko one time. He seemed really down to earth and was pretty quiet.

Just this past summer I was serving LeBron James in Vegas. I flew down a wire to deliver him some champagne and nearly kicked him in the head. He told me that he'd rather some girls with no panties deliver him drinks instead of yours truly. I was quite offended actually.

Went bowling with Ron Artest from a twitter contest thing. He was really cool and very nice. Rented out every lane for an hour even though we needed just like 8 lanes. But I was in the lane next to him just goofing off and rolling 2 fingered curve balls down the lane and he wanted me to show him how to do it so I did, but like the triangle offense, he never got it. His strategy was to roll as fast as he could, most of the time going in the gutter and poping out to knock like 4 pins down. Ended up with an 89. Found out in the 10th frame that the top 5 people would get signed basketballs by him and because i was doing trick shots, I ended up in 6th!!! :'(

Lamar Odom = Got a call from a friend that he and Khloe were at a nearby mall signing autographs for some Kinect event, so I went down there with some friends and there was this gigantic line. The mall was going to close in 5 minutes, so we kind of snuck inside the Microsoft store right as he and Khloe were leaving. It was his birthday so he did not look like he wanted to be there lol. This is in Orange County, southern Cali mind you so I can't tell you just how many of the "sweet 16 type" girls were there in the mall, screaming like the ringwraiths in LOTR when they saw Khloe come out. >:(

Walked out of the change room and almost smacked into Andrea Bargnani and a couple of other raptors players. I was pretty surprised since I live in Vancouver. Apparently, they were having preseason practices at my university. Felt like I walked into a friggin wall. It was pretty funny as well, because a couple of guys were ogling some girls who were working out in the gym.

Also another wtf moment. I was playing pickup ball on an outdoor court near my house when Ha Seung Jin pulled up in a big ass hummer with a bunch of other asian kids. It was random as hell at the time (although it made sense as there were lots of Koreans living in the neighbourhood. They say he was visiting a close friend.) We played a couple of pickup games and all the Koreans were going crazy asking for autographs lol.

Met Derrick rose in a subway in west la last summer. He's extremely fit and toned no homo. He looks pretty small on tv but the fool is ripped in real life. He cruised around in a range rover and had a driver. He was getting subway while his driver picked up some stuff at the 7-11 next door. Very quiet guy. But polite. Talked like he does in his interviews...kinda monotonous.

Sure why not...hes my favorite player...I'm partial to bigs who play a physical style anyway. Its the way I played ball- before I became better at football than basketball. Duncan, Oden, Howard -hell even Bynum are the other bigs I like...to a lesser extent of course. When Shaq and I were in school my fav player was Moses Malone and Akeem. I followed Shaq's entire career but I dont actually own any Shaq related memorbila (spelling) at all. I knew a few NFL players too - from college / highschool -two made pro bowls but I wouldnt have called them my fav NFL players, but I still followed their careers fairly close. I'm pretty sure given Shaq's style of play he would have been my favorite NBA player had I never met him. I just hope Oden lasts for a while...NBA wont be the same for me without a top level low post traditional center.

6'4 seventh grade 6'7 eight grade 6'9 9th grade - Shaq. Not Slim but not thick either. Cordinated yet a little clumsy at the same time. Bad knees I think. Never saw nor heard of him dunking in a game before 9th grade- despite being in the 6'7 plus range. I recall him break dancing at a school dance -with a cast on his leg from hip to ankle - doing the windmill. He played offensive tackle / defensive end in football during jr high years ( Germany)

When I was 7th grade -- Jerry Stackhouse went to the mall near my place. Got a cap signed and got a picture with him. Pretty cool dude, seems fan genuine friendly.

That's only it so far but I've talked to a lot NBA people and remain in touch with them from time to time by DM'ing each other in Twitter (DM's can only be made if the player also knows you and follows you) and even got lucky and got some emails from players. Most notably D-Wade. Rarely replies, but I do think he reads messages, even talked **** to him once when he was playing like a ****. I said stop being a **** by taking these (Please Use More Appropriate Word) jumpers and be aggressive instead (in a concerned fan way). He responded pretty well on the court by driving more and getting to the line.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the summer of 2004 I think it was. We owned an Indian restaurant in Encino, no one is in there except this one tall dude, I'm not looking at him at all and my mom says "look who that is"... I look and it's the Cap. Sitting on a stool, his leg extending a million feet, bending at the knee, then extending a million more to the ground. Was scared to approach him but did, basically just said hi and was intimidated cuz his eyes are huge and he wasn't talking AT ALL. My youngest brother was like 8 at the time and tells him "my brother plays as you in NBA Ballers" haha. He said thanks. Then my dad proceeded to greet him with asalam waalaikum and have a longass convo.

March 2008 I met Sasha Vujacic and Pau Gasol at a D-Fenders game before the Lakers game. They let you sit anywhere, so my friend and I sat in the front row at midcourt of course. A dude in a suit comes asks us if we wanna be a part of the FT shootout at halftime, hell yes. He moves us to frontrow baseline with a few min left in the half. Just then, Sasha and Pau come walking. I got my camera and we have sharpies but we're starstruck. I say wassup Sasha and shake his hand, then say hey to Pau and say "you're gonna be back soon right?" cuz he was injured at the time, and he said "Yea I hope so". My friend snapped pics of them afterwards when they were like 20ft away.

Jelani McCoy played on that D-Fenders team and signed stuff after the game, does he count?

After a game last season, I think it was against the Warriors, we went to eat at the Yardhouse afterwards. Got done at midnight, were walking and we see Shannon Brown walking with this big bootied black chick, no one bothering them. I'm with a guy and 2 chicks, us guys say hi then the chicks start going wild like why didn't we take a pic and all. Didn't wanna cockblock haha. He was walkin with a limp, dorag on, soundin all ghetto haha. My friend said good game and he said thanks even though he sucked.

This summer, Kobe held his camp at UCSB, where I go to school.
Image
Yeeeeee. I was riiight next to him when he got into an Escalade. I said KOBE 3PEAT and **** LEBRON and he smiled at me woohooo.

I also met Lucius Allen and Jerry Chambers who played in the 60s/70s at my friend's graduation
Image

And oh yea, I'm 69% sure this has to be Danny Granger...
Image
He doesn't look 6'9" or whatever there, or does he? He's wearing **** a bballer would wear, was talking to the white chick behind him (a famous guy would do that), and he has a batman cape on... wtf everyone else has a Superman cape, if you don't know, DG loooves Batman. I will maintain that this was Danny Granger at Six Flags.

Wow I wrote a **** lot for something no one will read.
