Not sure if you're serious.... Should I be impressed by his 39% FG%? His 50% TS? or has he suddenly become an all league defender?

And its not just this season. He was terribly inefficient in the games he played last season also.

Gilbert can still play at a high level, watch him turn it up if the magic get him. Orlando needs a 2nd young star to pair with dwight, VC and lewis are old, gilbert is 28yr. If i were the magic i would start arenas at PG and bring nelson off the bench for scoring.

Dwights surounded by aging washes up talent if the magic dont get him another star he could leave, the magic are locked up with long contracts.

The Way Rashard is playing, and with his contract being shorter and larger by the time it comes off the books it would be an easier deal to make.

Rashard has been terrible so far this season. I honestly want to see him traded before the deadline.

Why would the Wizards want Rashard? He makes more than Arenas and cuts into their cap space the next three years. Arenas is the better player. Who cares about the 4th year? By then Wall, McGee, and perhaps Young would all have been extended.

So you are saying bring two players with the worst contracts and Dwight due for an extension.
Smart / Micic / D. Wright
Wiggins / Exum / J. Adams
Parker / K. Anderson / Mcdermott
Randle / Vonleh / Stokes
Embiid / Nurkic/ Tavares

Are you serious?

The Wizards are rebuilding....

That's the point of trading Arenas out of the situation.

You get Rashard its not like it's hampering the development of McGee, Wall, and Young like Gil would. He's only a role player at this stage of his career anyways. Plus his contract is a year or two shorter than Gil's contract.

It's a win win for both organizations.

You get rid of Gil for the Wiz, and you start completely fresh with Wall being the face of the franchise as you rebuild the team. And the Magic could get an 2nd scoring option who could help them win a championship within the next few 4-5 years.

The Wizards have made it pretty clear that they won't trade Arenas for Rashard.

I think it's gotta be Arenas for Carter (maybe with a Yi/Gortat or Howard/Gortat swap thrown in to ease some of Orlando's financial pain). Either that or it's Arenas for Gortat + Duhon + Pietrus.

This does nothing. Just gives Orlando another guy who will deny Dwight the ball.

No dude. Lol. It'll be perfect actually. Arenas shooting is the definition of Orlando shooting squad, & he's known to go scoreless for entire games at will. Plus their personalities are like total opposites I can see it really working out.

If Arenas goes to Orlando he will have a Michael Vick-esque season.

yes I am serious before someone tells me they're not sure if I am.

As a Magic fan, I'll cry if it happens. Gil and his crappy percentages can stay in DC.

Orlando needs someone thats gonna constantly drive to the hoop, thats the thing they are missing. I see gilbert is more of a jump shooter now, and they dont need anymore jump shooter so this trade wouldn't make any sense. Andre igudola would be perfect and would be a realistic option for them. I mean if their gonna get arenas, they gotta get something else like blatch and/or even N.Young back, otherwise it doesn't help.

BTW, No one is taking on Lewis's contract, so give that up.

Would they not be better off trying to get Jackson and/or Wallace?
