I like this if JJ Reddick lands on the Wolves and the Magic get both Lakers picks

I doubt this trade will make Lakers better. Yep, Dwight is the best center in the league. But IMHO, is not worthy of giving up the best FC in the league. I'd rather do some minor trade like TPE/picks for Session or Beasley. We need a PG/SF. We don't need Dwight.

lakers would be putting a lot of eggs in the michael beasley basket.

this basically breaks down to a bynum/pau for d12 offer from the lakers, and i think that ultimately is the price they have to pay if they want d12.

Wow, Wolves will be **** tough now. Love-Gasol with Rubio. Plus Rubio and Gasol are instant chemistry. They give up Beasley and an untapped D.Williams. They make out nicely in this trade.

Magic - 2nd best center in the league. Actually I was really starting to like Bynums game. A true center, plus they get a #2 pick, which the Wolves were not using to his fullest potential. Magic are set and their future looks bright, plus they won't have to deal with Howard in the East. Can they amnesty Hedo, or did they use it already?

Lakers - Get the Best Center in the league all while thinning out the front court by losing Gasol. Beasley is meh, not sure about this guy, streaky at best and his head may be the problem. With Metta, Sheed, Beasley, Barnes, ah ****...Coach Brown won't be able to control this team. JJ Barea is a nicke pick up, anything is better than Fish. Wolves and Magic get the best part of the deal as Lakers still have to give up Bynum and Gasol, which was what all Laker fans wanted to avoid. Guess that kills the hope of Bynum for Howard and pieces, and Gasol for Deron and pieces. :-?

Supposedly this same site broke the JJ Barea signing to the Wolves.

Anybody can guess right. The more important question is how many times have they been wrong for every signing that they luck into?

And imo it's a price they really shouldn't pay. If they still had Odom, it's still overpaying but at least tolerable. But now? With Bynum playing so well and NJN as their only real competition for Dwight? Yikes no thanks.

Beasley is not good and I don't see why MIN does this. They aren't going to win now, nor should they attempt to do so. I'm all for trading Williams but that should be for a player as young or younger. Getting the best pick possible in 2012 instead would be good - lots of sorely needed wings available for MIN in the draft.

You guys are forgetting the Lakers have the TPE to trade for another starter. Or do you guys think we won't use it? I'm thinking someone like Scola, idk

Barea-- Blake
Kobe--- Arenas
Beasley-- Artest
Scola ---Wallace
Howard--- Murphy

just curious, but do you think nj will trade deron to lakers for gasol and pieces? I highly doubt that, but then again we're talking about lakers, one of the teams that players want to play for.

Hopefully the Lakers would still make a move for Felton or Sessions with the TPE. Bringing JJ off the bench would be ideal. What I like the most about this deal is it doesn't commit LA either way. If if looks like a horrible fit & D12 opts out, then Beasley & Felton would both be free agents. Amnesty Metta. Let Luke & Fish expire. They'll have the option to completely rebuild in 1 season if Dwight bolts.

Well, if the Wolves are shipping Pekovic and need some wings, then the Rockets can offer Terence Williams and Marcus Morris for him.

I think the Wolves are best off flipping Gasol for Scola and Martin. Scola off the bench is solid, and Martin addresses a position of need. But I guess they really want to make sure Rubio signs long term by signing his buddy

edit: Double post; but I'll just wing it :)

Didn't Dwight say he's not resigning if he goes to the lakers? I'm guessing atleast a one year guarantee would have to be there like cp3 for the Lakers to give up 2 of their big three for him.
