Why are you so mad about getting blown out in a SL game?

Yeah we totally didn't need the toughness in the middle or anything.

What a bargain! He's a little better than Asik (face it, Asik sucks) and comes at what, a fifth of the cost?

Dumb move. The Bobcats should be trying to have an awful record again to get another top 3 pick. Before long they are gonna be a 10/11 seed which is the worst position in the NBA.

UNC. Veteran presence. Thin big men rotation including Tyrus Thomas and Gana Diop. They need bodies.

I admit I'll try to see the point after all is done and whole roster is known, they may bring another player (1-2 free roster spots, one of them is occupied by QO to Derrick Brown - 1M).

I love it for the Cats, Haywood is a good veteran presence in the locker room. We all have seen how wacky teams are overpaying for centers all of a sudden Haywood is a great trade chip to a contender who loses a center to a season ending injury (anyone remember the Thunder/Sonics w Kurt Thomas? and he was on a high paying expiring deal). They got Haywood for cheaper than KWAME BROWN.

I agree but it is not like they just claimed Brand or signed someone who would really add considerable amount of wins.

It's NOT an awful move for what the cost was, and he serves a need. Even with the new additions of Haywood, Gordon, Sessions, and the rookies: MKG and Taylor the Bobcats are still going to lose enough games (although they will be more competitive this year) where they will still have a top 5 pick in 2013. Tanking for the sake of tanking does not guarantee the top pick as we just saw this past season, and there is something to be said about about trying to establish a winning culture.

Haywood won't add much in terms of wins IMO. I think we'll just get blown out less frequently. As it is now, this is a 15-20 win team. Bottom five in the league for sure. Shabazz, here we come!

Wait until we claim Scola too.

I hope they go after Scola. Anything to make Mullens/Tyrus' time decrease.

Very excited about what Charlotte is building, even as a non-Bobcats fan. I loved the Dunlap hire. Sessions is one of the better backup point guards in the league, who can easily see floor time next to Kemba. MKG looks like a stud early. Jeff Taylor can ball. Ben Gordon will be in the running for 6th man award. I've always liked Haywood's game, but was overpaid on his previous contract.

Walker / Henderson / Kidd-Gilchrist / Biyombo / Mullens
Sessions / Gordon / Taylor / Thomas / Haywood

They're going to be a bottom 5 team again no matter who they claim, trying to look (a little) respectable is not going to hurt that much.

So the starting lineup will be:
Kemba
Gordon
MKG
Scola (everyone know it's bound to happen)

Biyombo

Correct me if I'm wrong, Bobcats fans.

Fixed.
