I wouldn't want this guy on my team. He's a chucker and nothing more. He plays no defense, has no idea how to pass, and has no size. He is instant scoring off the bench and nothing more. He would probably be good for the Celtics since they need more scoring and players that can create.

No point in the real contenders like the Heat or Thunder getting him though, especially Thunder. We already see a lot of people complaining that Westbrook doesn't pass the ball to Durant enough, I imagine there would be like 10x more complaining if Brooks was the backup.

And you know you kind of suck when the freakin Kings cut you, so I'm not sure why so many fans are bidding for him.

really? you do not want a bench PG who is shooting 46% and 38% (49% and 41% as starter)?

If I need scoring, sure, if I need a good rounded player, absolutely not. Like I said, Brooks is a joke when it comes to everything outside of scoring. Solid bench player, but nothing more. He's a manlet version of Nick Young.

Brooks is the 2nd best spot up shooter in the NBA btw per synergy, just fyi.

I atleast didn't see any character issues with him too, he was a real pro in general despite having very up and down inconsistent minutes and rotation status.

He's a ball-hog yes, but that's his style of play I guess - in terms of him as a person there was nothing wrong as far as the media reported or I saw when on the bench etc.

DeMarcus seemed to hate him, but I guess that's cause he played over his friend (IT).

Think he lost the championship game in China against Marbury, correct me if I'm wrong.

Maybe he wants an NBA ring to make up for it? If so, makes sense he would want to sign with the Heat, Aaron Brooks as a 6th man would be very nice for them, makes them even heavier favorites to repeat.

Good move by the Kings if they do indeed work out a buyout that voids his player option. I think it was for around $3mil. Add that saving to the cap space the Kings will already have and I see some really good options for them moving forward.

A high draft pick, cap space for free agents, and the possibility of a sign and trade with Evans for a pretty good player in return. I think they also still have their amnesty provision so depending on the draft and offseason moves they could gain even more cap space by letting Salmons or Hayes go if needed.

Thats some solid flexibility there. Let's face it, Brooks wasn't in their longterm plans and this erases a mistake although I think at the time they didn't know how Thomas or Fredette would turn out and needed someone like Brooks as insurance. They don't need him anymore.

He still has game. The Kings organization is just clueless about how to utilize their talent. Look at how well JJ Hickson is doing after the Kings waived him. He's been better than Jason Thompson and Chuck Hayes combined, and is averaging more boards than Cousins and a better FG% than anyone on the Kings team. You're telling me we couldn't use that...

We don't have roster space for one, and two Patrick Beverly has been pretty good.

Looks like I was wrong. Welcome back Aaron!

Aaron Brooks will likely sign with the Houston Rockets, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Rockets already have a 15 man roster...

Guess we can waive Honeycutt, but captain bev has earned his minutes

Maybe play him as the shortest 2 guard ever? Is he better than Garcia?

Nailed it.

He should be a good fit with them and their current system. Should give them a nice leg up to keeping the Lakers at bay.

I'm starting to think that Lin could be on the trading block in the off-season. The Rockets don't use Harden off the ball enough and Lin can't play off the ball since he is an inconsistent shooter.

Nah, not until they find someone who can take over for him. Brooks isn't that guy. He's a inconsistent high volume shooter too, so unless they try and bring in a guy like Calderon, trading Lin doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Patrick Beverley would be the player that replaced Lin as the starting PG. A good fit at PG for the Rockets would be a Mario Chalmers type PG, a PG that is designated to shoot and nothing more. I could see the Rockets trading Lin in a sign and trade deal for like Dwight Howard or something, you never know.
