thats assuming none of lebron or the rest of his team mates points and efforts count for nothing. LeBron freakin carried the heat to that position, ray allen simply made a play that happened to be at the last possible moment.

I was going to say. His 36/19 Game 7 performance, along with Worthy's triple double, are the first two that came to my mind.

Incidentally those two guys were HOF'ers but not franchise players.

In 2002 Kobe had 30, 10, 7 & 2 against the Kings. Again this was the real NBA Finals. There is no way the Nets would beat either the Kings or Lakers.

So Kobe has had great game 7s.

Cant defend his O in the 2010 FInals game 7 aka the game where everyone was completely gassed, but in the series he averaged 29/8/4/2. Bill Simmons wanted to give Kobe the Finals MVP if the Celtics won. But at least guard Kobe out rebounded both Celtics bigs combined. Warrior.

His ts percent was also the same as lebrons vs the spurs and the 10 celts were a better defensive squad imo. 8rpg was kind of nuts for Kobe and he wasn't surrounded by midgets like lbj
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Every game I looked at was decided by single digits.

In game 7s:

Kobe is 5-1
Jordan is 2-1
LeBron is 1-2

3 of Kobes game 7s determined the championship IMHO 2000 Blazers, 2002 Kings & obviously 2010 -Back then the lEAST couldnt win. Stacked Blazers FTW and the pass happy Kings would destroy the Nets

The eye test doesnt always translate into stats. For example Odom did a lot of things to help my Lakers win like the pass before the pass, hustle on team D... that are not on a stat sheet. LeBron has the highest ppg. LeBron has the best $tats because LeBron is the king of $tats. No one is denying that. But the Ws speak for themselves. MJ didnt let the Finals go to a 7th game = greatness.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Disagree mightily. His court vision and passing are actually very good. Definitely underrated. The weakness is that he doesn't like using them unless he can get extra attention out of it or he's intentionally trying to stat pad for a triple double like he was doing during that streak last year. He doesn't spend games actively searching out teammates over his own scoring looks unless he's gonna get something out of it. He'd rather have 45 and 2 assists than 20 pts and 13 assists.

Lebron won multiple Game 7's this year alone. Where did you get this 1-2 nonsense from. Off of memory Lebron's been in

06 ECSF Loss to Detroit
08 ECSF Loss to Boston
12 ECF Win vs Boston
13 ECF Win vs Indiana
13 Finals Win vs San Antonio.

So he's 3-2.

I was going to do Carmelo Anthony, but shockingly enough, he has never played in a Game 7, ever! So I went with Dirk, and I was stunned, Dirk just balls in Game 7's.
As for the Game 5's that are mixed in, I didn't know whether or not to include them since they aren't technically Game 7's, but they give both teams the same condition of Game 7's in that, you either win and advance, or lose and go home. For those who think Game 5's shouldn't count, I did averages both with and without Game 5's mixed in. As for the bolded sections, that just shows where a player took over another players (best/highest) spot with the Game 5's mixed in.

All stats come from Basketball Reference.

Almost everything is wrong. Why are we always creating special criterias for him? No matter how you spin it stats and Kobe don't agree. It even shows how he wasnt once in his career the man on these game 7s
