$10mill/year is too rich for my blood but he may prove to be worth it come seasons end. He'll be the teams primary scoring option coming into the season so the he'll have ample opportunity to prove his worth.

Some are willing to offer him $12M per...wow!

What has he done for him to get such an offer!

He's a restricted free agent - I would let the market dictate his value and at most, I would offer him 4yr/35M

With the Jazz rebuilding, no need to rush to sign him now! Wait until the offseason

I am not saying that David Locke (Jazz Play by play guy) is always right but in his pod cast this morning he said he thinks the Mark Stein is guessing or reporting on what Gordon's agent wants let out. He seems to think that if a deal is done it will be a last min deal. He openly claims to be as near to the situation as anyone not directly involved.

The Jazz want to sign him now so that they can frontload the contract. If he gets 50 mil it will be a 5 yr deal, he's not getting more than about 10/yr. Guaranteed.

Jazz won't go any farther publicly than acknowledging talks ongoing but I'm told deal -- if completed -- will be richer than Favors' deal

Just curious what others think he's worth. Is he worth near max?

looking at what paul george got, this is market value. seems like a fair deal for him to get 50+ M or near max

12mil a year sounds like a good number to me. I think he'd justify that contract within a year or two.

I like him but I think 50+ would be overpaying a lot. 10 per year should be max and personally I would throw 8ish.

QFT. He's not a 4/40 guy. 7-8 mil max.

For $50mil the guy should be some level of star, not a utility guy. If the Rockets have to pay Chandler Parsons $50mil to keep him, they'll likely let him walk. So much as I like Hayward, he is pretty much going to have to step up and be an 18+ppg scorer if they are going to start paying him $12mil a year.

Hayward should get as many touches as he wants, dude is a straight baller and great team guy. At his size and skill level, he' has legitimate 1st option potential. If Utah doesn't let him flex his muscles it will be a travesty.

The world has gone made. $5-$6 per, at most. First show me what you can do then you'll get paid. This is Dunleavy all over again.

I have a hard time believing Hayward is a better defender at the wing than Kirilenko was.

Love the Jazz. Love Hayward.

Hayward will NEVER be a#1 option on a contender. 2nd at best, likely 3rd.

If Jazz pay more than 11 a year ill lose it.

He is worth at least $10M per. Anything lower and you'd be kidding yourself or you're just out of touch with current salaries.

We're talking about a 23 year old who has actually showed flashes of being an all-around SG. Not to mention, in the three years in the NBA, he's been playing in a frontcourt dominant system where Al Jefferson needs to get his licks in each night. Dissect the games where he gets meaningful minutes (Mar-April) and you see his impact across the board. He is a capable shooter, passer, rebounder, and defender. His athleticism is also very underrated.

I don't think I'd pay $12M+ per year, but $6M is a joke. Landry Fields makes more than that.

I like Hayward a lot, but it seems like the Jazz are overpaying to lock down their core. They may not feel like they have much of a choice.

Tall wings with decent all around skill are worth at a minimum 10 mill per nowadays lol SMH.

How much is 17pts, 4 rpg, 3.5 apg per 36 worth to you guys??

I thought 8 mill was reasonable, but I would absolutely LOVE for utah to give him over 12 per.

He'll get 4/50+? Wow, that's a big hit for their salary cap. Hayward isn't that much better than Derozan who got 4/38.
