Houston should just try to sign Gasol short-term now

sucks for them, could have landed Melo or Bosh and couldn't manage to get either of them lulz. Will be good but never good enough to win a championship.

They should just give Gasol a huge deal and go after Bledsoe since the suns signed Thomas.

Was that Asik trade ever finalized? If not, he needs to amend it and make that a trade for Ryan Anderson.

Hate to say this but Morey's shenanigans has finally caught up to him. This off-season cannot turn out any worse for the Rockets. They strike out on all major FAs; Lebron, Melo, Bosh, most likely Love as well. End up giving away Asik and Lin for valuable future picks, have to match Parsons at his max value and may end up losing Daniels as well. Wow!

Well at least they still have McHale as a coach.

You can get that kind of productivity from Marvin Williams at a quarter of the price.

Lolbron won those chips in Miami. Not that goofy dinosaur. If anyone is screwed, it's Miami.

Stop watching basketball if you're comparing Bosh to Marvin Williams.
I'm comparing Numbers. Try to keep up, junior.

The numbers say Chris Bosh played with all-star level efficiency on offense and defense, and Marvin Williams ... did not.

And we already know Chris Bosh can still produce at that all-star level when his usage goes up.

I have accepted our fate as first round exits, Dwight and Watt are going to leave in 1-2 years, Clowney will be a bust and then I will slowly die.

Without context? All I said was that Bosh' productivity last year isn't worth max money. Sure he had to play behind Lolbron and Dwade, but he would've had to play behind Harden and Dwight in HOU. I'd say that's comparable.

So you know nothing beyond volume stats? Anyone with any sense of context and basketball knowledge knows Bosh is 10 times the player Marvin Williams is.

Meh to the Lin trade or Asik. Only gamble that hurts was not picking up the Parsons option

You're using box score stats, those don't tell people much. If you're seriously believe Marvin Williams has as much of an impact as Chris Bosh... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

And btw, he averaged 16/7/1/1/1 in 32 minutes in the regular season. Per 36, his stats didn't change much the past 4 years. The number you use is for the NBA Final. Please don't call other "junior" when you can't even list the correct stats.

Yeah but they also lost some valuable future 1st round picks along with Asik/Lin. The whole idea was to sacrifice these guys for a star that could help them win NOW, but as a result their options have become limited. I don't think Rockets fans realize how bad the situation is for them right now.

I do feel bad for the organization, hope they can find a way to salvage this somehow.

Johnny Firpo wrote:I'm not sure they will match Parsons just yet, they have to target another FA with that cap space, or else they really did lose Lin for nothing. They have all day tomorrow and a couple of hours on Sunday to try and get a free agent sign with them. It will be close, but no way they throw in the towel just yet, especially with Anthony still being out there.

im not sure overpaying someone for the right to match an overpaid parsons is a great idea for a team that has a second round ceiling

morey overplayed his hand. big time.

I guess its karma for putting up Melo billboards with Lin's jersey number while he was still on the roster.
