Alright I needed a laugh today and these did it for me. Thought i would share them.

The guys laugh in the first video is incredibly contagious. I had to rewatch like 10 times.

Fav one is probably the "Runners" one.

It's real gm not English class

Turns out spelling and correct grammar is used beyond English class.

Lavine is not a PG. He has no PG skills/instincts.

He shouldnt be in this thread.

Ima go with Marcus Smart. I just love his defense, frame, and competitiveness.

Exum seems intriguing, but i just havnt seen enough. I saw about two of his SL games. He looked good in his first SL game, but thats about it.

Payton will make a more immediate impact but exum may very well turn out to be a top 5 pg in a few years

LaVine can be outstanding, but probably not as a standard pg. He's more a shoot first pg.

Same thing was said about westbrook

And Rose... And Irving...

Levine certainly fits the bill with the question the OP is asking, since he used Rose, Westbrook and Irving in his example.

Anyway... My answer is Smart. I think if he came out last year, he would have been last seasons next big thing over MCW.

I was beyond impressed with Payton in the summer league. to me he is exactly what the magic need...a guy to set up the other young guys. I think Payton is going to make everyone better day 1 and play both sides of the ball.

With that being said, Exum is going to be the most explosive player in this draft, probably not a great defender ever...but certainly capable of being an all-star.

I think the GP vs Penny comparisons are pretty accurate.

Smart is going to be a less athletic, slower...but stronger version of Westbrook. I'd put him behind the other 2 at his point because he doesn't really have a unique skill like Paytons floor vision, and Exum's explosiveness/first step.

All in all, 3 very different players, but i think all 3 will be very very good.

This is kind of my feeling too. Opportunity is the most important factor in the ROY race, and Payton is going to be handed the ball on that Magic team. His ability to rack up assists and rebounds will help his overall consideration against better scorers such as Parker and McDermott, and even one or two triple doubles will help his hype immensely.

I got insulted for picking him as my sleeper pick in the "who wins rookie of the year" in the NBA Draft forum when no one else had mentioned his name. Watch out for "Mr. Sixer", dude has some sort of agenda he is rolling on.

PG's aren't that important to winning titles so it doesn't matter.

BTW i don't think ZL is in the same conversation with the other 3 although he certainly has the potential to be.

What kind of approach are the Magic expected to take with Payton. Are they going to have him play 20-25 mpg, or are they just going to throw him out there and have him start right away and play 30-35 a night?

He doesn't seem to have anyone in front of him and he had three years of college so maybe hes going to start right away. Just curious what people around the Magic think the plan is for him.

he is going to play.

The only guy in front of him is Oladipo, and the difference between the 2 in terms of court vision and passing ability is night and day. Just cant see them playing Luke R in front of him.

Okay thanks for the info. Hopefully Vaughn is smarter than Ty Corbin was and gives the young Magic players enough minutes. My POV there is if two guys are on a fairly similar level as players, you play the young guy.

Wrong draft...

Anyway I picked Exum but Smart is right there with him. Payton is looking to prove me wrong too because even though I didn't think he was bad or anything I didn't have him in my top 14.

I don't think Vaughn has much say. I think Orlando is very much run from the top down, which is why last year they didn't play the young guys and basically tanked. I think they see this as the year for the young guys to start making their push....but you know how it goes...no one knows until the season starts.

Exum will be great but i thinks he's more of a SG.
